Time surely to “rest” those who won’t be there when and if we are actually challengers eg the likes of Tyson, Vince, and get ourselves a decent forward coach.  

I realise that delivery to I 50 is haphazard but double the opportunities and losing is totally unacceptable.   

Give Balic a run, or bring back Spartacus - we had no crumbers. 

Need another tall defender - Petty needs to be tested.

Umpires won that game - Port playing for frees too. 

We shouldve won that. Hogan needs to stop crashing packs to get goals though it's not working.

Easily win 5 of our next 9 games to still play finals. Could go 6 wins if GWS play [censored] with injuries, 7 if West coast are without Darling and Kennedy again. 

 

It's like the first few weeks when Lever wasn't gelling, we still haven't worked out a way to replace him.

Of course not the only one. My concern is he is so important to our structure, and we need him clunking those 2 or 3 big marks a game. But he seems to be skirting packs like he is 5 foot 9 and 70kgs. He needs a bit of a reset I think.

Hogan was deplorable and reverted to his sulkish worst. I'd drop him off that game he was so bad. Same goes for petracca, he's had enough chances he's actually soft.

Oscar was horrible horrible tonight. Those 50s were very clumsy.

Yes, and the one goal was from an unattended mark on the goal line against Brayshaw when Oscar was up the ground minding the mark. Some of the other talls should have dropped back.

They have multiple tall forwards so no one 'gave us a bath', but they took a lot more contested marks than us. We need tall defenders to be killing those contests on the wings.

Again, I view this as an important match in our development. 

Compare this to Richmond’s performance against Port two weeks ago. 

Port is 5-1 against the top 8. They are a good side. 

This doesn’t ease my anger much because we shouldn’t be losing games with 29 more inside 50s. But yes, we played a high intensity game against a top 8 side in a hostile environment and led for 95% of the game.

I don't think its cultural. I think it's a maturity and experience thing. Last year we won about half. This year our game has clicked some of the time and we've learnt to belt teams. We are still learning how to play our game under top pressure, but getting better. We'll get there.

Absolute waste. 

We’ll make the finals, enough easy wins in there. 

But there aren’t many really good teams this year, we should’ve been aiming for top 4 after those 6 in a row. Unfortunately everyone was right, and we can’t do it against decent sides. Port weren’t even that good tonight, it’s all mental. Good teams would’ve easily put this Port away. 

We are the new Port Adelaide, easy work against the bottom 10, can’t beat the top 8.

I was at the Dogs game 3 weeks ago and watched Hogan mark absolutely everything and just dominate. Chris Judd said on the following Monday he was the best player in the competition at the present moment.

As I said to Wiseblood it wasn't just the goals. They took a heap of contested grabs and also got some very soft goals deep because we were under sized.

This game wasn’t lost because of our defensive height.

Edit: they also took 4 in the last minute. So until that last possession it was 11-14 in our favour. So, put simply, you’re miles off.
