I hope Harry Petty gets a go. Looks like a gem to me and both a natural footballer and a great interceptor. Frost, however, is neither.

I have never seen Petty play - have you?  Wouldn’t want to throw him in before he is ready, but if he is then sure, maybe, possibly, mmm

How is hunt a replacement for lever?? Strange. J Smith maybe bit this is huge for us.

Poor fella. Next man up, but Lever would be devastated.

Hibberd will have to step back a bit.

Well if there is a positive

My son did an ACL 5 years ago and there are gradings of ACL His surgeon declared his knee totally r*^%@5!

He came back and played 12 months later and continued to play good footy till 2 years ago when he did the same knee in an innocuous bumping contest

Result Microfracture of leg, meniscus/cartilage damage and host of other smaller issues with the knee

BUT the original ACL REPAIR was still intact! Surgeon was pretty chuffed!

Repaired ! and he came back and played sensational footy! Since has retired

I spose if ACL is ok and just damage around original issue he may be ok?

Here's hoping!

Frost although  he means  well is seriously  a headless chook compared to Lever.

Oath.

Heres hoping he's not next in line.

Would much rather Keilty or Smith. Even T Mac back and Weed in for the forward role.

Is it definitely the same knee?

According to mmm left knee both times.

One mans loss is another’s opportunity.

It’s got to be kielty for mine. kielty plays o macs role and o mac plays levers.

for f@#k sake. this is a massive blow. we cant move tom mcdonald back again. he is much better forward. tmac makes poor decisions back. roll the dice and play t.smith or frost down back. either way,  i think finals will be hard to make and we lost the Adelaide deal after this.

Bad luck. I still think Hunt or Frost. Against the filth I would play Hunt. They have smallish forward line.

When Levers form escalated, so did the teams. Massive loss however we need to cover him. One soldier out, another in. Frost, J Smith, Petty.

T Mac isnt going back, hes a star forward and the combo with Hogan is just about unstoppable.

We will easily make the finals, Lever or not.

As a Doctor, can you give us a full diagnosis or any inside information?

Looked like Fritsch went back to cover Lever today? Courageous in the air.

Best decision we ever made getting rid of watts for Fritsch

Here’s hoping that J Smith, Keilty, Hunt, Petty all put in blinders for Casey tomorrow. Then we can choose a replacement based on how the teams matchup.

The Adelaide supporters laughing and calling it Karma all over social media, I really wish I heard them say it in a pub, spineless keyboard warriors.

Huge loss but I think Joel Smith has shown AFL standard qualities in the few games we've seen him at the top level.

I'd just tweet them last weekend's result.

And lose nearly 3 goals a game and massive two way running from the wing back plus a great contested mark inside 50?

If we are to maintain potency on the scoreboard and winning form i would not be putting T-Mac back for all the tea in China.

Would rather have Weid try and fill lever's role.

When was the last time a suspected ACL actually was not one?

I remember Riewoldt against us last year, but don't think Jake has bone bruising.

I wonder if there's any hope!

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
