I just read the article;  he won't play if their sensible. Same foot. they won't risk it even if its not the turf toe thing, as they all relate symbiotically.

It needs rest, and after the crows game, its a short turnaround for the doggies game.

I expect TMc to be back for Q/Birthday.

Welcome back Pedo.

Just when we started to get momentum and found a structure that worked for us... horrible news. Even if it is precautionary, the fact he was carted off suggests he’ll miss this week at least for a rest. No offense to Pedo, but he won’t have anywhere near the same impact TMac does. Hopefully TMac is ok and it’s not a recurrence of that foot injury!

Careful with that statement, the Pedo fan club will be after you.  Most of them think he is Wayne Carey 2.0

pedo can be great on his day

Yes, he usually plays his obligatory great game when he returns to the seniors, then gradually gets worse by the week.

Is T Mac really that critical to our structure that we can't win without him? I really hope not.

It's an interesting point BBP, as now that we've found a structure that works, we should be able to cover him well enough that we still win the game we should be winning.

Pedersen isn't a world beater, but he has the tank to get himself up the ground and have stints in the ruck.  Same goes for both Hogan and Tim Smith - they have the capacity to play Tom's role and therefore we keep the structure of the side intact.

Obviously, Tom is in ripping form and we're not the same side without him, but I believe that now we have a good structure in place that we can push on in a positive direction if we don't have him in the side.

The problem is that at Melbourne precautionary moves usually end up as being 4 to 6 weeks.

If it's a recurrence of his foot problem then 4 to 6 will be a bonus...

They will get the scan result pretty much straight after doing it, they will do the scan then take a look at it...no need to wait.

almost instant  these days if you have the doc (as I am sure they will have) there to read the scan results. A little longer if you want second opinions etc

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
