I hope every single Melbourne supporter enjoyed every minute of that today.

That performance could not have gotten any better, and after the last decade and with what we've put up with it's so satisfying to put Carlscum to the sword.

And think about this... Hogan had just one goal.  Oliver and Viney were relatively quiet.  Hibberd was tagged out of the game.  Yet we still kicked 25 goals and made the Blues look like an Under 11 side.

Melksham was BOG for me and what a recruit he has been.  Not only did he kick 5 but he set up heaps with his sublime skills.  McDonald kicked a bag, ANB got in on the act, Brayshaw continues to get better and better while the kids like Fritsch and Spargo are doing the same.  Just a total team performance.

Special mention to Bull Smith as well - he battled manfully in the ruck and did some excellent work around the ground.

I love this bloody club and I hope you all do, too!  DEMONS!!!!

Great Win. Huge scores back to back. Percentage is red hot. Momentum on our side. Everyone lined up for a goal or 4.

Go Dee's!

Meh I guess that was ok....

Just kidding, that was so enjoyable and to the fat Carlton loser who was giving everyone the finger and swearing in the first quarter and then disappeared, go suck a sack of turds!

good win  season starts for real next week. 4 shizen clubs disposed off !!     4 in a row  WHATS THAT

Can’t even remember this feeling. 100+! What a ride!

Just bloody fantastic.

Backline superb, and the what's making this possible. Also, Jordan Lewis, you can't buy what he brings.

My fingernails are in pristine condition, what is this? :)

Jake Lever had more possessions than Clayton Oliver.

What a time to be alive.

Gut wrenching end to the game, with Tommy missing that easy shot on goal.  He sure is a party pooper!!

I can't believe Max Gawn ran over the mark at the quarter time siren. Max, you are paid a lot of money to do the basics right. You killed any momentum we had going into the huddle.

Am I doing it right, @poita?

The key was that they played as a unit. And all of a sudden we have five or six forward options at any one time.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
