Headed to the game, feeling nervous, but hope to see the Demons take the game on, play on at every opportunity.

Fingers crossed for a win any margins will suffice!

Your Kidding Hardtack was it last year he kicked something like 1 goal 6 or 7

If he plays and remedies that we are in all sorts!!

I can honestly say I’m not expecting much from this game but an ugly affair. Not confident about our chances, it’s impossible to see how we can score lately.

Would really just like a scrappy win so we can get out of there and live to fight another day.

No idea where everyone gets their confidence from.

Bombers have had a tougher run than us and in the same position  have beaten both Adelaide teams

Another 50-50 game

I’m not nervous as I’ve lost a fair bit of interest over the past few weeks

I'm feeling very pragmatic about today.  You get what you deserve in footy.  If we play to our ability we'll win.

If we lose I won't let the result control my emotions.  I won't be joining the plethora of senile old clueless posters, who regularly carry on like outraged victims.

Regarding playing with more structure offensively. You could see last week that they wanted to get back to very basic football of moving the ball forward at any cost (compared to the lack thereof against the hawks). In some ways the frantic style of play seemed to startle Richmond at times. We kicked the ball long and relied on pressure to out work them around the ball to get scoring chances. It was good to see this as there will be more wet weather games ahead where that style of play will be important.

But today I hope to see some switching of the ball and more daring movement through the corridor.

If Daniher is a late out then it will be Essendons worst side they’ve put out all year and all the planets will be aligned to ensure an emphatic victory for them.

Expect Hogan to play the Petracca role with more midfield time and drifting forward.

Especially with TMac back and Weideman up forward.

Agreee.

His last 3 games vs us:

1.6

2.4

5.0

He is the only forward in their team capable of tearing us apart. If hes out, that can only be good for us. Irrespective of his form going into today.

If Joe is out they will probably play McKernan at CHF and Stringer at FF or the reverse positions or Hooker goes forward if a smaller player comes in..

Two things...whom are you actually adressing ?

Secondly i stated quite clearly..id rather he play..and play POORLY  which is what he's been doing abd still likely to if OUT OF SORTS.

Theoretically it should help if he's out, however, as shown yesterday at the Cattery with Buddy out there are no guarantees.

I remember one of our great wins was against West Coast in Perth with a depleted side.

Some of our best wins have been sans Hogan, because we had to use the ball differently entering our 50.

Round  14, 1998. We beat WC in Perth coming off 6 wins in a row. We lost our previous two games by close to 200 points. Turned our season around and only lost one or two games for the remainder of the H&A season. Then again it was regular feast or famine those days. We were all over the place with form.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
