Looks like there’ll be heavy rain this arvo.

Pity.

I don’t like getting wet on second level MCC..

You would see rain when it is sunny.

Go dees go Dom Tyson.

Yeah you'd think so. I printed the ticket off at work and bloody left it there and now I'm trying not to go into work

I'd go and get it! Strange technical shite has been known to happen first round at the G.

Not confident about this, to be honest. Viney and Tom Mac out are big.

Still, fingers crossed.

Every beer tastes good when Collingwood are the laugh of the town.

There aren't any good pubs in Kensington but it doesn't matter. Enjoy.

Watched Buckley’s post match presser last night. I actually felt pity for the fool. He’s looked a defeated man.

I could watch it again and again. The guy thinks you can keep coming back with the same plan and similar style players and expect a different result. I love the arrogance. The only player he focusses on in his presser is the performance of Cox and why he wasn't clunking them and kicking bags. I don't know maybe because it was a soaking wet and he is a 7ft american learning a role he is not made for. I maybe would have focussed on the two must have star recruits of his coaching years in Adams and Treloar who went at 60% and 42% efficiency or his inability to stop a guy who had 50 possession against you last year have another half ton this time.

The only thing that makes this better is the arrogance of Eddie that he wont be able to bring himself to sack him (again).

Forecast indicates rain will come late arvo, hope it doesn't ruin a good turnout.

Comon Dees, unleash hell on these wankers!

You forgot one thing in his grand scheme sack all the players who are actually footballers but are not robots.

Reading the Sunday papers

its all Geelong Selwood or Ablett

We are not mentioned but what do the papers ever know

go dees !!!

Hope the rain stays away - would love a clean game where we can utilize our improved kicking skills.

Feeling pretty nervous about this one as we’ve got some questions about our squad still to be answered:

- Can Pedersen continue his good form from late last year and fill TMac’s role?

- Will we look a little slow with Vince, Lewis and Jones all seemingly lined up across the half-back and centre lines?

- Is Clarry 100%?

- And the big one - Has the group matured and grown from last year enough so that we don’t have patches or whole quarters where the opposition gets a run on? And if it starts to happen do we have the leadership to stand up and do something about it?

We have had a very positive summer so I hope we see a huge effort from the boys today and take home a win. Go Dees!

Heading in today....and like every morning before a Melbourne game have a sick feeling in my stomach....part alcohol abuse, part MFCSS.

I shall be availing myself of Vline's ever reliable services today so am just about to head off..

I have my member lanyard (with Daisy's pic of course) nestled proudly between my bosoms and am confident of a successful day. So much so that I have made a modest investment for the Dees to win by 40+

The Lads are disappointed they can't accompany me but I have given them a bag of coca leaves to munch on while viewing from The Manor.

Onward and upward!!

Just realized I can’t find my membership guess I will have to get a pass from the membership tent, anyone know what time they open

Didn’t someone complain the game wasn’t going to be on television in Melbourne? Just seen it as being televised on ch7.

I’m not familiar with the location of Melbourne’s sly grog shops.

I tend to drink moonshine from my own stills these days, though Mr Griffiths does a fine drop.

Wonder if Gus or Dom might come in given the forecast for showers

Why do I get a sick nervous feeling prior to getting on train to the G. Oh MFCSS.

Slightly hungover but will fire up with a couple a frothy’s - hopefully taste better than the 1 Melbourne bitter I had on tap at the forum last nite .

We have a better team in today than the cats . I have a feeling Harmes and Hannon are in for big games today . Dees by 27.

I must admit I used to think of Harmes as the proverbial depth player - a good honest tryer that lacked the skills to be assured of a guaranteed spot in the side. He has improved each year though and his practice match form has been excellent. I have high hopes for him this year..

He is an excellent mark and a classy finisher . Can link up also . Hannon has the same versatility, todays conditions will suit .

I'm desperately trying new A F this season, which means more zen. Will report back after the game. My sister reckons it'll last 5 minutes; my brother in law reckons it'll last 10 minutes (that's generous of him); and the wife doesn't believe me at all.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
