Besides, they are saying 50% chance of any rain, so they are also saying 50% chance of no rain at all. Still a fair stretch better than the information about Viney, or Dangerfield, or Ablett! The BOM does brilliantly compared to what they could do not so many years ago. I don't know the exact figures but it is something like their current 10 day forecasts are as reliable as their old 2 day forecasts were. As for rain at 50% that is complicated because of the often patchyness of rain. The percentage they quote is a complicated average over time and space, so it's not surprising if what you see at a particular spot is not what you expect. Quote

Wow ... you have to love that form of modelling... Frankly given Melbourne's unpredictable weather I don't blame them Quote

He is more likely top worsen the toe issue in the wet contested slog, and the opposition will look for every opportunity to get at it. We can play a smaller forwardline with bulk, including Pedo in. Give TMc the extra week to get right. These conditions would have been just right for Viney but he's not ready. IMO we need bulky forwards, and our speedsters. Those that are opportunists of the spilt mark. I wonder how JKH would go in these conditions? I think the Wet, brings their guns back to us, a bit. I can see Buggster in on one of their mids. Not looking good for Jack Watts. Quote
