I like that trade CC, hope it goes through. I liked what i saw of Taberner in the last game against Essendon.

I'd love to see Hogan, T Mac and Taberner as our 3 tall forwards for next year. they're all elite runners and would cause havoc for opposition defenders.

If my source is correct, Jesse went to Perth before Bali, he then flew from Bali to WA to meet with Fyfe, came back to Melb shortly after attended races over the weekend and is flying back to Perth this week to meet Lyon. Grain of salt as I dont know the guy personally but seems he was spot on.

Who is your source? That sounds like a whole lot of dribble to me...

A Perth local who I've never met (as per my post). And as I said, may all be BS but he was right weeks ago.

Could your source be Hogan’s Instagram..?

Taberner can go into the ruck as well if needed, King & Filipovic are a mile away. He's a better forward than a ruckman but if Gawn goes down he could help us in that area, definatly worth a look.

My favourite part is when people post things after the fact and report that they heard it from a source and then add something to it that may or may not happen to make it sound legit.

You should read over your own posts of late while you're at it ;)

Think I heard something on SEN about a pub investment in WA that Hogan may have been there for. Perhaps investment opportunity with Freo/WCE players.

Now that makes a lot of sense.

In the old days players would come out and quash rumours. Now the advice is say nothing because then they will expect you to deny/confirm everything in the future. The classic conundrum.

Ah... life in the spotlight of social media.

Just got an sms from the waitress who served Jesse and Nat their coffee.

She tells me that Jesse said to Nat that he was only having the coffee with him to stir up DL.

She then heard Nat say to Jesse, that if he grew his hair, he would show him how to tie up a man bun.

I'm not enjoying this trade period.

Yep, some on here have already microwaved the popcorn and can tell you how this movie will finish and can't wait to come out with the "I told you so" line.

If we were to lose Watts and Jesse can  someone explain to me how we will be better next year with two of our better players forward of centre gone?

I should look it up before making calls, but didn't we have our biggest wins of the year without Jesse and a mobile forward line?

Yes we did, no denying that, but can that be repeated for a whole season?

With Jesse and Max out it gave us unpredictability for a while but we all saw how the season ended when we were worked out.

Watts was part of those big wins.

If that Hogan itinerary is available on his Instagram then I apologise, I was simply just passing on, perhaps the bloke was getting it off there. Anyhow, who knows. We hold the cards, we want him and we will keep him unless something has gone sour. If not its P5 + next years first pick minimum.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
