New Forum Software

Recommended Posts

There was a major upgrade to the forum software. Please bear with us whilst we fix up the "skin"/look and feel of the site as the upgrade messed with some of the colours.

There are some other cool feature that I will post about here shortly.

Also use this thread to report any actual bugs and also any cool features you find.

a little buggy, but will look great. nice work @Demonland

What are you referring too?

If you are referring to the overall "look" in terms of colours then I am aware of that and it is an easy fix once I have some time later this afternoon.

Just the other day I was considering suggesting the site needed more "like" button options a la farcebook (angry, laugh, thumbs up etc)... nice to see.

I'm getting some funky adverts at the top which cover half the page and are a little pixelated ..I know you're aware of the colours...

Ha ha looks good. Like the confusion button. Its going to get a work out!

Imagine if a certain caps & colours loving poster came back, confused button would get a major workout.

One possible "bug"... the "Mark Forum as Read" button/link at the bottom of the Demonland Forums page, doesn't appear to do anything (it appears there is no longer a "Mark Site as Read" option).

FYI only, we seem to have lost the post numbers on the thread - eg. refer post 43 above. Which can be useful.

I've also realised, just having read some posts on how bad we were over the last 10 years, that we need to have another emoticon for "slash the wrists" because "sad" just doesn't quite cut it.

Nice upgrade.

Yeah. That feature was an add on that I downloaded at some point. It probably would have got wiped by the software upgrade. I'll see if I can re-enable it.

I noticed that when writing a 'reply' the options for fort size and font colour no longer appear.  They were quite useful.

Also, is the standard font of the new software supposed to be super big size (especially on the 'forum' page) or is it just my computer/screen?

Thanks.

Font colour is there (it's the A with the drop down next to it) :)

Thanks guys but neither function appears as an option for 'Reply' .

Admittedly, they disappeared a few weeks prior to the software upgrade so not sure where they went or why.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
