What the f is with Heppells head? He looks like a neglected poodle.

Saints, when the pressure is right on, a little bit egg like.

Over half way through the 2nd quarter and the score is 3.9 vs 2.4 for a combined 5.13 (approx. 27% goal accuracy). Gee I'm glad they spent all that money on installing the roof to make sure that Etihad always has perfect conditions for football!

We definitely have the better Hickey!

Daniher's 44th goal for the year. This is now his highest total for a season. Hogan did that in his 1st year!

But it's not rnd 22 CB, he might kick a few more.

BT has 0 idea what is going.

But how many years has it taken him to get to this level, when Hogan was there in his first!

No idea what BT's on about as I'm listening to ABC radio (not that I would know even if I was listening to Channel 7)

Does Bruce rehearse his commentary?

Apparently McKenzie got manhandled by the bigger hooker.

James Kelly is great in every Essendon game I watch.

Not watching it. I hope the saints dont come crashing back to earth after last weeks high. Last week they played perfect footy and Riewoldt had a emotional build up to the game.

I know its better for us if the bummers win but I dont want them to.  I want them to have 0 chance of making finals.

yeah hes tall so its always going to look like something......not a patch on Plugger tho..

Which plugger,  the real one or that former St kilda chopper?

Fox Footy are seriously the kiss of death. Every time they analyse a team and say "oh they are definitely up there and here's why" that team hits a brick wall. Watch them jump right off and call them pretenders who believe their own hype and have a bad culture.

St kilda are a bunch of frauds. Would be more than happy to play either of these teams in September

The intensity level in this game is 1/3 that of our games.

Watched about three minutes third quarter.   3 behinds total, all kickable  - must be the wind

Saints look awful - and they absolutely killed the Toiges last week

haha... st Kilda

do they now get the same getting of themselves headlines tomorrow that is and Richmond get after a loss....

Why do they get Hamish to interview the auskick kids, he is terrible at it

Gil's hoping Hamish tries to hug one of them, then he can sack him.

I thought at the time, where's the smaller hooker ????

Utterly embarrassing for St Kilda, in the Friday night spotlight too. Someone remind me why these pretenders have 3 Friday night games this year?

St Kilda's assault on the top 4 continues apace.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
