Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Sydney ins are McVeigh and Zak Jones not bad ins
Devil In Disguise 2,284 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 JKH, Kennedy or Kent very stiff to miss out. We lose a small forward & wing/mid & replace with 2 defenders? Trust in Goody, I guess. Not too many mistakes so far.

Especially considering we will be coming off 5 straight wins. Yes we will beat Sydney. True but if we win well it could make selection a nightmare. I feel sorry for Jones who has played in so many games when we have lost. He needs to be back enjoying the success after all that darkness. Got a feeling Trac is going to have a big big game. Maybe up forward.
Guest Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Was hoping Sydney wouldn't drop Sinclair. They're immensely better without him. He is garbage.

Possessions are one thing, but it's all the other stuff that matters and if they aren't even listed as emergencies, then I doubt they are meeting the requirements to get a senior game. I think Goodwin has done enough with his selections, some of which were questioned, that we should wait and see how it plays out. White and Wagner give us good foot skills, plenty of run and lots of options. I agree and I've been vocal about it in the past but not saying a thing this time. Clearly he is trying to send them a message though.

Hunt goes fooorwwarrd... And so I stop take of my clothes and walk into the surf Byrons lighthouse is blinking on the horizon..... That is the best dream I never had. #huntforward
Grand New Flag 3,227 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Swans at full strength, Dees decimated by injury, coming off 3 six day breaks and likely suffering light headlines after unprecedented over hyped media talk. Always a poor omen! My head says no! My heart hoping my head is wrong. One last thing, if the Dees somehow win Goodwin has one hell of a selection headache next week.

Satyriconhome 10,880 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 JKH has been tearing it up in the middle in the VFL, already got a contract next year, wants to keep improving, intends to keep banging the door down and earn a spot

Irrespective of the formula used to determine the "37 per cent chance", that number is meaningless if we're not told what the percentage chances of every other club is. The number is meaningless anyway, regardless of other club ratings. A number derived from a set of data, much of which is meaningless means that is meaningless too. Remember this is the organisation that rates Collingwood as having the greatest midfield in the comp. 2 hours ago, Wadda We Sing said: Does anybody remember the after match functions we used to have back in the Daniher days? I only went to a few and they were generally at the Hilton in a big room with a stage. There was 1 back in about 2004 when wed just pinched number 1 spot on the ladder after a win over the Hawks at the G. Daniher walked on stage in front of the whole team and just waved 1 finger at the crowd which went absolutely berserk! Unfortunately the fairy tale didn't come true that year, but I was wondering now with our resurgent successes would perhaps this sort of thing start happening again? I'm not sure who or how it used to be organized but they were great events. I wasn't there but remember hearing about it -- it worried me that we were well ahead of ourselves and if I recall we hardly won again that season. Hold the celebrations until the evening of September 30 -- not that I am getting ahead of myself :-)

Kent will surely be requesting a trade at the end of the year. Because he wasn't named as an emergency? Kent won't request a trade at the end of the year.
Demonised 1,376 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Me at start of year - yeah, I'd be happy with 7 - 8 wins. Me now - I WANT TO WIN THEM ALL!

Gator 18,053 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Way too much read into who the Emergencies are. They're partly an encouragement award. Every player on the list knows where they stand irrespective of named emergencies.

Nnnoooo?! I'm shocked that a professional team didn't make "horses for courses" or "soreness" changes when pushing for finals for the first time forever... Best team will play each and every week barring injuries or better players coming in, we no longer live in the "rested", "managed" or "general" phase. Upgrading a rookie ahead of Kent, BenKen and our man Trenners says a bit. God I hope we can get up for this one after a bloody tough recent schedule and give a big shout in our first Friday game when we are finally playing well.
