What a disgusting thread, purely reacting to clickbait from a media type who wants to get noticed.

Angus would be in our best 22 IF FIT,please let him recover wiithout the idiot element taking over.

I hope the poster who suggested trading Plugger Mac to Lions has had a rethink in the last day.

j-mac, that happened once didn't it? i love brayshaw and hope he gets back, but if i were to highlight a flaw of his its that he is a bit slow & can get caught with the ball at times.. i would argue that a positive of his skill-set is his awareness. that kick back into the corridor against the hawks was an aberration.

I remember two kicks in one game against St Kilda. I don't have a full list and possibly my memory is a little hazy on it but I do recall he has done it a few times. He has also turned into trouble and been pole-axed because he wasn't aware of an opposition player closing in on him.

I'm not saying it is a fatal flaw, rather that it may be a bigger flaw than we reliase and they could be linked to general awareness issues.

Possibly some good news, just heard on Triple M, they were talking about big Paddy and his concussion issues at St Kilda, JB was asked about Gus, stated that he believes that Gus will be back playing in a few weeks. The Dees have been upping his full contact drills at training, hopefully it turns out well and we see him back. Personally I think he's a gun, just needs a good run of games together to get used to the pace again.

Few more weeks of full training, starting next week, then hopefully he'll be right back into it, just in time for finals!  :)

I'm not even going to read a thread titled "Trading Brayshaw". The ethics of promoting such a thread are way beyond the author. To be a great club you need loyalty! Not 'one way' loyalty... fortunately, we have great leaders in our club who know how important it is to support team members who are doing it tough.

But you have ww!

Demonland is a fan site where fans discuss issues. While it might not suit you it is for others and IMO it is a legitimate subject to discuss.

We've seen what Oliver and petracca have done this year for the side, I think people forget brayshaw is more than capable of being as good as those two. The kid has talent to burn and a work ethic to match.

I don't think people forget, I think people just don't think this is the case.

Could turn into a good player but not in the league of Oliver or Petracca.

Wait and see :) I am happy to be on record saying that health permitting gus will be as good as those two. A slightly different player but good in his own way

But it would appear a predisposition to concussion.

That may well be the worst thing you can have when playing AFL.

If you cannot get on the park all the talent in the world amounts to zero.

Very true OD, my opinion is based on the idea he does get a really good run at it and stays on the park. Fingers crossed he gets the opportunity

He will be back playing seniors this year. 2 weeks training and 2 weeks in the vfl will see him in the mix for round 19. Just in time to make an impact for the finals

Sorry, this was supposed to go in the "Angus Brayshaw Concussion Issues" thread. I couldn't find it when looking earlier...  :/

Gus at 25,26 & 27 years old will be better than any 18, 19 or 20 yo recruit we get.

He is a loyal player of the MFC and deserves to be here until he can't play AFL anymore.

We will need him and his experience when it matters, keep him. The talent out there can't replace him.

So, uh, half time of the Sydney game, and I'm wondering if anyone right now wants to argue that we have no need of an extra quality contested ball winner who can also use it pretty well?

Big NO from me.

What would we possibly get in return? Probably  something equivalent to a 3rd Rd, possibly a 2nd Rd pick at best with an exchange of 3rd Rd picks or something stupid like that.  We will have a 2nd and 3rd Rd pick this year, so why trade a potential gun for that.  We've carried Lumumba on our list this year (stupid bloody AFL rules), so I'm sure we could even Cary Gus for another year I'd that's what it would take.

Probably something of a topic for another thread, but someone mentioned loyalty as a two way street.  If there is anyone at Melbourne that should extend to it's Jack Trengove.  Almost forgotten, but I'd love to see this guy play at the top level again, and I think the MFC should keep him on the list until  either says enough, can't hack it at VFL level or makes it back into the senior side - hopefully the latter.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
