We have our outs, but prior to the season if you'd said we'd be playing West Coast with no Naitanui (and his main backup in Lycett), Kennedy, LeCras (injury and form), Masten (form), and Wellingham (form) I'd have been pretty pleased.

Shuey, Priddis, Mitchell, Gaff, Sheed, Yeo, Hill, Jetta v Viney, Oliver, Tyson, Lewis, Petracca, Salem, Stretch, Vince, Hannan, ANB, Harmes.

We have better depth and pace running through the midfield, but need to be spot on with pressure.

I'll make one observation re Gaff.  He is slow and an outside seagull of the highest order.  I have him in my Dreamteam and gee he opts for the easy outside ball.  And he's so slow.

Priddis, Mitchell, Gaff, Sheed are all very slow.  

It's annoying not having Watts and Jones, but I firmly believe we can win this if we bring our pressure game.

What I noticed about the Hawks win last night was the lack of manic pressure from many of the Adelaide players especially in the later part of the 3rd quarter and the last quarter. That defined the game for me. Hawthorn deserved it Crows didnt.

If we bring that pressure and desire tomorrow night, we win. We have all seen our team do it. Let's ruffle some Eagle feathers Deees !!!!!

I'd take Barrass, who I really rate, over OMac and he wasn't listed in your bottom 8 but I take your point. Our roles players are playing their roles. Their role players are mixture of older keys (McKenzie Schofield, Petrie) on the way out, green talent yet to establish themselves (Duggan, Cole, Karpany) and disciplined C graders (Sheppard, Cripps, Hutchings). And Hill who has well documented issues with attitude consistency and work ethic. Like PD, I like our chances. Belief and momentum are hugely important and we have both. I think West Coast are still filled with self-doubt. As always, we need to start well and get the crowd on their backs.

Yeah. Not going on past glories though, his production hasn't been scary by any stretch.

Love Barrass. Love OMac more. I reckon you'd get 90% of each club support the guy that plays for their club. Then if we did a straight swap, the same would still be true. lol

It must be said too that their other 11, the good ones... are super. Mitchell, Shuey, Gaff, Priddis, Yeo, Jetta, Darling, Sheed, McGovern... wowee.

Just read that we had not won in Perth against either WA team since 2004 ... the fateful year where we hit the top of the ladder at Round 19 and never won another game for the season

I flew out of Melbourne at 9:15 this morning expecting be on the same plane as them but it wasn't the case - they were nowhere to be seen. I'd assume they didn't catch the early so would figure the arvo plane would be the one. That doesn't really allow time for them to get to Subiaco for a trot. 

J Omeara was however on the plane, had a chat to him in the lounge prior to boarding. He said he reckoned I looked pretty awesome in my Melbourne polo so I acknowledged his perfectly moulded comb-over. We didn't talk about his knees but he reckons that the Dee's have got the game to get the job done against the Eagles.

Was just reading team stats for the year and discovered that we r number one for possessions and top 4 for goals scored. Huge improvement on last year. Not confident for west coast but was the same with crows and dogs so to quote Viney: Anythings possible.
