You knew you were on a hiding to nothng making that post Steve :)

I do have a level of sympathy for the players and for your standpoint on where the blame lies. I appreciate that this whole incident points to the potential dangers of club culture.

My sympathy for the players diminished however after the CAS findings, particularly regarding the players' lack of disclosure on doping control forms and general negligence. It's just too much to ignore.

They've served their time for what were largely gross errors of judgement. That is the end of the matter for me. What I can't stomach is the marching parade welcome back. As Choke says, these guys aren't heroes. I personally don't consider them to be villains either, but they sure as hell aren't heroes.

Well P-man it will get absolutely nauseating if EFC get their request for round 1 2017, to be their home game at the G versus us!!!  They will turn up the volume on their 2016 round 2 'walk to the G to support our boys' to mega, mega levels and if we go to the game we will have to sit their and watch their fanfare, stomachs churning!!

They think they have the wood over us and will play on adrenaline like round 2, 2016.  I just hope we smash them so bad and wipe their disgusting smirks off their faces!!  Especially off that little pipsqueak, Parish!!

Does the term 'when hell freezes over" ring any bells because that is when maybe the real people responsible for whole shambles will accept responsibility

MFC were accused and found guilty of tanking, which in a way is cheating, so the old adage of glass houses etc, we have moved on so EFC and theit players should be allowed to as well

No, we weren't.

Doesn't really stack up, does it? Put in this awful situation by the club, all these years of anxiety and grief, reputation damaged, Charlie at risk, and he walks back in the door.

Alternate explanation: he was in on it the whole time. Maybe not on top of the details but knew that there was "monkey business". Can't really say the club betrayed him then.

Of course he knew.

Whatever it takes .....

Jobe and Libba Jnr are fashion victims.

Libba is aware of it, Jobe not.

Is that from a mysoginistic or fashionista point of view?

Neither.  Its from a logical point of view.

Which again depending on what you read is either a horse medicine, something that aids patients after heart surgery, something that may aid recovery from injury or a performance enhancer   but because nobody can say definitively what it does WADA banned it just to be on the safe side, which is the spproach the drug agencies take coz they have no [censored] idea what they are doing

funny  ^^^^^^^^^

They ban it Saty because it has not PASSED muster, because it also is likely unfit for humans and has ukmnown side affects as well as the potential to provide unfair advantage.

There are 'legitimate' drugs that do the above as well if prescribed to the wrong person by incompetent physicians.

The agencies blanket ban so they can be seen to be doing something

The only time these agencies have success is when a sports person is dobbed in, and most of the time it is for avoidance, and never 100% proved

My opinion,  live with it

What legitimate drugs are there that are unfit for humans that might be prescribed by a quack ?

I am told the secret ingredient is just vitamins and may even cure cancer.

    THE CAVALRY ARRIVES by Megg

The injury plague which has beset the Demons 2024 campaign is finally starting to dissipate and with consecutive wins over GWS Giants and a 2-point nail-biter in Adelade, a sense of optimism is rising.  Some commentators are now asking whether the Dees can make finals? A huge surprise with team selection this week when it was announced that champs Olivia Purcell, Paxy Paxman and Eden Zanker would play.   Hallelujah!  The cavalry has arrived. St Kilda missed the finals last season on pe

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.
