He's had the shoulder problems for a few years, maybe it's not something that can be rectified with surgery? If true, seems a bit like us trying to sneak Trenners off to Richmond without them finding out things...

I'd forgotten about that, he missed a heap of time with a collarbone or something. Could be related. But you're right, I guess not everything can be fixed with surgery. I'm not sure now on state of play, if it's still a potential or not. But I do know the trade was a lot further down the path than what's quoted in press.

Hmm, this doesn't add up to me (shoulder), Rockliff has had shoulder issues for years but so did Judd, not many A Grade mids get turned down for a shoulder injury ever...they're all gettable for the right price/draft pick. I'd take Rockliff for a third round pick or future second in a heartbeat, should issues and all and from reports Bris would be happy to offload him for that price. Doesn't add up.

For those of you who continue to attack other posters over their credibility or lack thereof in trade rumours threads, please sod off and leave the rest of us in peace. There are plenty of us who enjoy the rumours comfortable in the knowledge that most of them will not eventuate. Discouraging people from posting what they hear is both unnecessary and frankly, annoying as these trade threads would be utterly boring if people didn't post what they hear.

So to Generation Dee, GNF, Abe, Chook in Perth et al, please continue to provide your info. Sometimes the journey can be just as fun as the destination.

I like your posting but this is a bit silly.  Perpetual cynic?  Do you accept everything you read?  I just used a basic "smell test" and his rumour smelt off.  As it's looking much of what GD has said is questionable about medicals etc.

If I've got a view about the likelihood of something happening or being correct are you saying I shouldn't post?  It's a forum for different views.  I'll stand happily by mine as they look reasonably good at the moment.  If Rocky comes to MFC and GD was right all along I'll recognize his information as correct and I was wrong.  Won't be the first time and won't be the last.

Where on earth is the "perpetual cynic" in that.

VP, as with many things in life more is said than done.

I believe that many more trades are discussed than actually come off. Does that make talking about them wrong?

Taking the skeptical view is valid as is your opinion, perhaps critiquing the rumor rather than the poster is better. I would hate to think that those that hear some juicy gossip stopped sharing the info for fear of being pilloried.

Mate, loving your info so nevermind the [censored] that are harrassing you. They need to harden up or rack off. If they're bombarding your inbox as well I'd be tempted to report them to mods, we'd all be better off without them.

However, it appears that your source may have dried up a touch. I know it's been mentioned before but this can happen after a source is exposed. A future tip would be to go a bit lighter on the source. It's a fine line as with no source you cop more spray.

Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

That's a bit harsh... GNF was considered questionable on his Hogan claims as they were essentially just repeating what had been in the press a couple of days previous to his comments.  Generation Dee in my opinion does NOT deserve criticism because he has actually come up with a previously unheard "rumour" that he was prepared to give substance to by alluding to his sources... a big difference.

WTF?

Early August I reported Hogan had told the MFC and Freo he was staying. Pretty sure I was in front of the press.

Early September I reported small hiccup with his old mans health but the club was still 99.5% certain he would stay.

As someone who reads a lot but doesn't post much, I couldn't agree with this more. Well said Radar!

Has this rumour had any traction in the media? Seems only DL and Bigfooty are talking about it. Usually when there's actual smoke the media is usually fanning the flames and I can't see any of the usual suspects talking about this.

A little, Robbo basically directly quoted Chook in Perth and said " Brisbane know nothing about it"

and Brett Anderson and Terry Wallace said they're hearing it all over the place but can't confirm or deny it at this stage

Don't care to those who wish to believe me or not but I have a good source inside the AFL sanctum & he told me Rockliff is a strong chance... Dont know how we get it done but this source has been right on a lot of things over the years

Yeah, i suspect that/twitter/callers on trade radio or whatever, though i am not 100% sure.

Rocky, the Lions or his manager haven't publicly come out and said it's not happening.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
