Garlett signs to new deal

Great news!  It is all coming together nicely!

Today Roos said he would be 'staggered' if Tom Mc didn't re-sign:cool:

Just need to add Jetta, Watts and a couple of others OOC this year to keep our merry band together!

Good news worth celebrating!

Man I'm  going to have search hard for a good one when Hogan re-signs.

Great news. He has been an insanely good pickup. Traded a late nothing pick and got a bonfire live wire goal sneak who we'll get 5-6 years out of.

What an absolute steal! and to think Richmond picked Taylor Hunt over this bloke as well!

Feel like he has embraced melbourne more then he ever did at Carlton.

Goodonya Jeffiei!  I always admired his talent but never dreamed he would become a great club man the way he has.  Doing the MFC and his indigenous brothers proud.

Excellent News

Carlscum shall continue to weep.

Colonel Hogan's right hand man surely this must help.

one of my faves... stoked. like someone said above, he just looks real happy being a dee - way more so than when he was at carlton. good on him. hopefully he gets a flag or two during his time in the red and blue!

A key signing. My favourite player. Best fun to watch and now we'll get to do so for at least another 3 seasons. Im very happy

While we are all celebrating another awesome re-signing, it might be a good time to offer thanks, and acknowledge the great work of our current list management team.

Josh Mahoney, and whoever else is involved, well done to all. You are doing a fantastic job.

faulty

Must be a pretty good feeling around the club at the moment!

Great news Jeffy!

oh, and Jeffy, great stuff.

Hoping you play a key roll in a Dees flag.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
