I've never been this filthy at the club following a loss almost a week on. I pretty much watch every match I can live and when I can't do that I record it and watch later. I think for my anger/stress levels, I'll sit this one out.

I could very well be wrong, but I think you won't be able to resist tuning in at least once or twice. As much as you are frustrated with the club and what transpired last weekend, you clearly love the Dees and care about what happens. 

Even though some posters on here disagree wildly with one another at times, we all love the club.  Unfortunately, that means we suffer a little pain. But we keep coming back game after game, year after year because we are loyal.

I taped last weeks game and deleted it without watching. I am still STILL Shattered that we lost last week. To make matters worse Port Adelaide showed no mercy and players did as they should to a team of Top ups! We are a basket case still!!

Nothing will erase this lose from my memory and as I said last week, this loss was far worse than the Geelong Debacle in the Bailey Years!

As for the "Little Pain" the little pain has become a massive anurism just waiting to burst! Sheeit 52 years of almost total ineptitude!

Life long and enduring excrutiating pain if you support the Demons!

If I could still play I would love to get out there Bang into a few bodies spill blood and do whatever it takes to win the bloody game! Nothing or noone would be spared this week or next or the one after that. Not sure our players would have that mindset!

I'm like a lot of people here. That loss will stay with me for a LONG time. I still don't know if I'll watch tomorrow. I think inevitably I will, and I'm pretty sure I'll hate myself for it.

After Rd I the kids and I were organising two trips down to Melb to watch us play. 

This has been cancelled after last week. 

I am seriously hanging on by the skin of my teeth and wondering if it is all worth it. 

My kids are over it and only show an interest cause of the mentally deranged father keeps them involved!!

We all say we won't watch tomorrow, but most of us will. That's how it works, and why we're so mentally damaged. 

Tbh after last week and the selection, I have no idea what to expect tomorrow. I'll temper my expectations and preempt a 40 point loss.

Satyriconhome,i assumed that getting Crowley was not a good idea. He is tough and in the short term would be an asset,of course he will be exterminated but we have to wait until the cavalary arrives.

Over the past couple of years I've gotten much better at reading the fixture at the start of the season and deciding which Games I want to avoid and booking an alternate event so I don't put myself through it. Watching us play North tomorrow is one such game...

True.  Can we come out tomorrow and sustain it, or do we come out for 15 minutes, miss a few shots on goal, make a few little mistakes and drop our heads?

I think we match up relatively well against North, and if the conditions are poor then we have enough inside midfielders and smaller types to keep us in the game, but if we play into their hands they'll pull our pants down with ease.

I was more meaning more than one week.

We still only put the effort in for "important" games and when the pressure and focus is on us.

Sorry mate, I mis-read it!

But yes, I agree.  A one week response is good but meaningless if we can't back it up.  With the way Richmond and Collingwood are playing you would think we are right in the hunt in those games.  If we can get the confidence back up slightly then we have the opportunity to back it up in the weeks to come.

Last year we played horribly in round 2 and backed up with a decent showing the next the week albeit losing to the Crows with some innacurate kicking. I'm hoping this week we will show the same intent we did against the Crows last year and at least have a crack. If we don't win we have to at least make the Roos earn it and fight the game out. If we do it will bode well for the next month.

I think we will be very competitive today but North will eventually be too good and win by 3 or 4 goals. Really need Kent and VDB to dial up the forward pressure ( and get more of the ball) in the absence of Jeffy. I think both these players need to lift massively or they will soon find their way of the team.
