He is bloody enormous for a 13 y/o. How’s the set shot too - already kicks it further than Spargo.

His kicking action is so fluent and clean.

Trust me coming from someone with  junior coaching development experience, to see that at his age and that height is such a rarity.

His old man was a beautiful, fluid kick of the footy too.

How many years until he’s in red and blue? 🤩

For a ruckman he was very fluent. Well ahead of his time.

Another son of an ex ruck continues to excel at his chosen sport. From all reports Tiernan Stynes continues to impress and made the state u/16 metro boys team in 2020 and is part of the state development team this year. Haven’t seen him play but from all reports is a very smooth, highly co-ordinated tall guard. Not sure if he is still playing footy but a cross over from basketball to footy if he doesn’t make it would surely bring a smile to a few Dee’s supporters.

What hasn't been asked is does he have a leap like his old man. No one could jump like White.

But then Spargo isn't 6'3

Seemed aloof didn’t he???

Should have been more excited!!! Acted like a jaded teenager,,, I don’t know why we bother putting any effort in or even getting up in the morning!!??

He’s just gonna go back to GC when he’s any good…

Ok, I lost the thread with that last one but you get the drift.

And I say this every Olympic year but “…” is an ellipsis and can be used to assist in paraphrasing or to allude and the end of sentences.

”,,,” is nothing, means nothing and you should be ashamed if you ever use it.

rp out

My mother finally got back to her Art when she retired and her first exhibition was of fine tonal pointilism, titled 'Ellipsis'.

Just thought you'd like the wordplay. That's all.

Also, it is as clear as day that in five years Kalani will be an elite mobile ruckman who will come in at the perfect time to develop flawlessly under the tutelage of then two-time All-Australian ruckman/forward Jackson and newly retire / appointed assistant coach Gawn, with White going on to be the best of the three.

Obviously.

I get the feeling Jeff White wants his boy to be a professional athlete SO badly!

Why do we have a thread about a 13 year old? Seriously lock it and come back in 3 years time at least

Because he is the son of a former great in Jeff White.

Has the Premiership 8 weeks celebration period dulled your judgement Dee?

We are definitely trading out our 2025 first round pick for points

Dare to dream Demon fans, by all accounts he is a ripping young fella. Will be taller that his dad, let's hope he has inherited  Jeff's incredible leap, athleticism and beautiful kicking action. He certainly looked good on his under age video highlights. A mouth watering father/son prospect for the mighty Dees under the tutelage of Captain Max and our merry band of coaches.

Might want to play bball… or not play AFL…

He’s 15 yeah?

What’s his draft year?

Pretty sure you have to turn 18 the year of the draft.

He is 14 (May), so will turn 18 in 2025.

Feeling I get as well.

Some parents like to go about it in a quiet way and enjoy the journey with their kids, and some like Jeff love to let the whole world know about it and live through their kids own glory.

I know a few parents like this also.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
