Not without offending the Swiss court with such bad German.

Swiss aren't exactly known for the perfect Deutsch.... Ask the Germans lol

In German thinking there's High German, Low German and Lazy German....guess who that's aimed at ? ;)

Nein

Other than the locality of dialects , there are the 'different' Germans, sort of. There is High  German.; the formal German used in Education, documents , Law etc etc.. Then there's standard ( low ) German. Day to day German  and can vary a bit upon region. Then there is what the Germans like to call Lazy Deutsch... Here they invariably refer to what the Austrians and Swiss do to the mother tongue !! lol  Is a little how the French perceive Canadian French  (or rather Francais Canadiens !! ) :)

( possibly  FATHER tongue  !!  )

All true. I was just extending the range of torpitude to certain Australian locations.

Then there's "Kinderdeutsch". Which is Dutch.

An interesting article about the CAS decision and why the players could not get a 'no significant fault' discount' ie to do so you need to admit it got into your system, which the players vehemently chose not to do. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/nation/bombers-case-lowers-bar-for-guilty-verdict-says-athletes-advocate/news-story/e84c28265b4b4d984309394ea5c5199e

The article (inadvertently) highlights another epic fail by the player's legal team:  'The dissenting panelist is believed to be...appointed by the players to hear the case'.  Mr Jacobs, who has argued more than 35 cases before CAS said. “It is three arbitrators and it is generally a majority rule. So you can pick someone that you are very confident is going to go your way but, unless that person is going to be able to persuasively argue to the other arbitrators and have credibility, it is not going to help you in the long run.’’

This suggests the legal team again failed to understand the subtleties of how the CAS arbitration system actually works in practice.

See Slobbo has got Heppell a gig on AFL 360 while he is suspended. Jobs for the boys isn't confined to politics. Surprised Gerard Whately would have anything to do with it.

Surely this would require AFL media accreditation which the AFL could not provide to a suspended player?

I agree with this guy. justice has not been served here!

They all should be serving a two year ban and not just ten months.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
