I have not one ounce of sympathy at all.

You send naked pictures from one  device to another then it is open season.

Stop putting the Wankers in cotton wool...

Does that apply to everyone?  Women?  Or just male footballers?

In an age where the media protect an entire team of convicted drug cheats and ignore world stories like ISIL kidnapping 400 women and children, is this really newsworthy material? It was the second story on tonight's news, so I guess it must be.

What a time to be alive.

I thought we had laws (revenge porn) to prevent this thing from happening? If so, the woman's day would be complicit in breaking a law. The woman's day would've known that this woman broken the law, and then still went ahead and published them. Swan and co are the victims here, they may be flogs, and I'm not condoning their actions (it isn't a nice thing to go behind your girlfriend or wives back and trade pics, it is cheating in my eyes), but it doesn't give anyone else the right to share, profit and publish these pics. If this was to happen to Daisy Pearce and a few other female footballers, and a men's magazine published their nudes, we would all be outraged, and the PM would've had to come out and give a statement. Australia is becoming an absolute joke.

100% this.

Stuie I've been reading these forums a long time without a lot of posting. Do you actually like the footy? Or do you just hang for a good gossip to emerge from the football world?

I didn't start this thread. Not sure why you want to single me out out of all the posters who have commented?

Not sure you've seen the posts here simply directed at me and not the actual topic?

Although I've come to expect the worst from Demonland over the years...

The law mightn't but that is what happens.   Too many choose to think that they are so special that it couldn't happen to them.

Newsworthy? Probably not, but It's called titilation and it sells newspapers and sucks in viewers (voyeurs).

Yep, the old blame the victim trick again.

While I'd have thought that folk in the public eye might show a bit more discretion, at the end of the day it's their discretion to use and their right to decide who sees it, not the recipient of the photo.

Agree on both counts.

I will victim blame - just dumb in this day and age to put those sort of images into someone else's hands.

I will also offender blame - both the recipients of the photo's who passed them on and the publishers of the material should be held to account.

I tried to take those sort of pictures of myself but they don't make a selfie stick long enough to be able to get all of the necessary scenery into the photo.

i'm not sure how privacy laws can be invoked when these idiots (sorry, victims) send these photos to someone they haven't ever met (according to reports) and never requested any privacy. privacy could be assumed (implicit) for family, partners, business transactions etc, but i doubt to total strangers. bigger problems in the world than protecting these idiots from themselves.

It is clear this was a pre mediated attempt by these females to make cash quickly and look for their 5 minutes of fame.

That said, silly by them to send it to people who they had no real idea who they were if true. They probably had many back and forths with the person in question and no doubt will have an idea on who it is in order to follow it up.

Everyone who who is blaming the football players, I hope if you have daughters that they don't get involved with snapchat, although it's pretty common to send "nudes" in the modern era. If this is the case and they are spread all over the Internet or shared with people in the school I am sure it will be of no issue to you as they have brought it on themselves.

Don't have daughters, still to young for any of that jazz.

Just know how common it is now, and that I'm sure there have been many instances where the reverse has happened and the males who share these photos around are in a fair bit of trouble.

bad choice if its true it's just some random girl on the Internet, but I think it comes across like a group of girls specifically targeting the group of players. And thus would be giving in order for return.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
