Jamar could have already signed with bummers if he really wanted to

i reckon he might be waiting to see if he can play in his home town, plus a team that will win more than lose. who'd blame him?

Except that if he really wants to play, he's more likely to get a game at Essendon. I could see him playing primarily as a key forward, helping Luenberger out as necessary. Allows McKernan to go to defence where the Bombers are deficient in big men.

I wish him luck

The only silver lining in this whole Essendon disaster is that 11 players will get to have another crack at top level footy.

and get well paid to do so....

Round 2 ,. 2016 Stats

Jamar was all set to play for St Kevins in the Amos whilst doing part time ruck coach at the Bombers.

Essendon have obviously talked him into joining as a top up player.   For a lot more cash.

I can't understand why people bag him for this.    Please don't tell me it is on moral grounds otherwise the dons would not be able to field a side.

If I was a Dons fan my reaction would be even worse. I'm sure they will delude themselves into thinking he will be a gun for them. I wonder what they are saying on the fan sites.

Now we will know what it is like to have a ruckman who can win a hit out.

----

At least we now have someone to replace Leuenberger.

----

Happy to get him was unlucky to be turfed last year by roos for gawn
Averaged 8 Disposals, 30 hit outs, 3.6 tackles and 1.6 marks last season
Not the worse more hitouts then we got in the whole of last season

----

If we beat one side this year, let it be Port with Jamar dominating.

----

As long as we keep attracting players and support staff from clubs with some sort of connection to Dank/Robinson then im perfectly happy.

----

Good news at last, this is the second best signing behind Crowley.

Good luck to Russian but he is paat2 it as an AFL player. Even at Casey he wasn't even dominating at all.

Il back a fully fit and stronger Max Gawn come round 1.

He retires, gets offered a decent amount of money to play for year - it would have been in excess of $200K - there is not a reason in the world to say no.

( the moral ground doesn't exist any more - those who were found guilty are being punished and have done or are doing their time ).

Good luck Russian. Play well except against us.

I find myself compromised here. I totally understand his need for a job etc etc ..and is his to choose. However he's dead to me until he retires from this fiasco of a club  and returns one day to be welcomed by his old mates.

Hope Gawn uses him as a toy

I don't get why anyone would begrudge him.

It's one more year of footy, good money, additional exposure which could lead to other opportunities off the field (e.g.- coaching). Jamar also has a kid on the way, so good on him for extracting another year of top dollar footy salary!

The players joining Essendon now have nothing to do with the drug saga and don't deserve to be tarnished with the same brush.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
