Just got a call to say a ticket is coming my way. Happy days. This will be the 14th Dees game I will be at and we are 13 from 13 so it's a certain win. It will be good to (hopefully) beat Norf after all this time, especially as we used to beat them for fun.

Good news Clint.... I might PM you closer to the time and catch up for a drink at the ground or before. Good to meet other Demonlanders in the flesh.

Definitely - I'm guessing Nasher will be going?

Brilliant.

If we can pull off a 2-0 start, 40,000 becomes a real possibility.

my thoughts too. every chance by round 1 (including those on the day) we could be close to 35k

the fact that our first half of the season is easier than second half is also in our favour

Nice clip...The 2009 Remastered "Let it Be" is the way it always should have sounded.

Worth buying...

So Clint maybe we should set up a Demonland catch up somewhere in Hobart.  I'll be there with my cousin also a lifelong Dees supporter. Both of us just before the last Premiership. The Club are doing a Cocktail party at $150 a head at Gary Baker's Bar/Restaurant. That's over our budget. But interested in catching up for a beer and a feed if others aren't going to that.

See its over 33,000 members today, be great to crack 34,000 before Friday.

Looks doable!

30,029 on March 19, 2015 so today's figure of 33,146 is well up!

40,000 looks a good target!  If nothing else we will beat our all time record of

2 working days to go, should push past 34,000 prior to round 1.  I think 38K, I reckon 40K hinges on our performance against Collingwood round 4, if we can be 3 and 1 or better still 4 and 0 we hit 40K, if we are 1 and 3 it will stall to about 37000.

I think we would need to be 6 and 2 to get any chance of reaching 40,000 members.

Not if all Demonlanders enthuse a lapsed/new Demons barracker (c.f. Supporter) to join. We only need a bit of momentum and 50,000 is not beyond the realms of possibility.

Perhaps it's the pessimist in me but that can also be a negative if we don't get off to a good start!

But looking positively it's absolutely brilliant we've beaten the pre-first round record. A good start will do wonders for everything to do with the club starting with confidence from the team through to more fans and members getting on board.

40k should be our baseline - we need to achieve that this year and can with some decent showings early in the year.

From there we can build to 50k in the years to come with some consistent finals appearances and should really consolidate those numbers so that 40k is seen as the bare minimum we should achieve each year.

Anything less than 50,000 will be pessimistic!

Three years of absolutely nailing our trading, dtaft picks and development.  Someone give Paul Roos a pay rise.

Supporters can see genuine hope again.  If we snag early wins we will smash 40k and push 45.  Hell why not go for 50?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
