Each to their own.

i think it looks amazing, especially when placed alongside other logos on the Facebook fixture.

Already bought several pieces of merchandise over Christmas.

Members were consulted in a extensive branding and logo survey I completed in 2014.

I suppose you'll never please everyone.

There was also a cross section of members and supporters who attended a workshop where various ideas on a new logo were put to them and discussed

I do find it surprising that the oldest football club in the world decided not to put the year it was established on the logo.

I know it's all about projecting forward but something so unique surely warrants inclusion. Maybe it can be subtly added in later.

Subtle changes like that P-man continues merch turnover strategy I guess.

Kinda sucks that this t shirt isn't available from the Demon shop. Not from the range that I've seen.

It's a bit strange, isn't it? I'd quite like one as well. Would also be a decent product to try and get into tourist souvenir shops...lots of people that go to Melbourne would buy them as they're not tacky like many souvenir shirts.

I've emailed the shop to find out if there's plans to stock them.

Will let you know.

Reply from the shop:

"Hi,

No sorry they were only staff t-shirts. We will have something like them later in the year."

I also asked about footy match day shorts but didn't get a response.

Meaning the same, but with ninja turtles or Elmo or something on them...

I am quite fond of the bold simplicity of the logo.
As a kid in the late 90's and early 00's my room was covered in red and blue.
And as a kid who was so fanatical, I always enjoyed drawing the logo or emblem when I was given the chance.

Think of how much more simple this logo is for the kids to draw and enjoy, I doubt even Michael Angelo himself could put together the former logo with ease.

New logo looks bold, and edgy, like a sporting club logo, not a complicated watermark that would look right at home on the letterhead of an insurance income firm.

Also, whoever is in charge of the merch production this year did a bag up job, that white guernsey we wore against the doggies on Sunday looks so sleek to me and the grey training t-shirt with the NB logo on the right shoulder will be a frequent in my gym clothing rotation.
