Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

So by next year, our midfield could consist of: Vince, Jones, Viney, Petracca, Brayshaw, Parish, Trengove, Tyson, VDB and Salem. Why are we recruiting another 3 midfielders in Melksham, Bugg, and Kennedy (in addition to other depth players such as Michie, Newton, ANB, and Stretch)? I know the midfield is important but geesh...

Because if one or some of those guys go down with injury, we are currently replacing them with the Matt Jones/Riley/McKenzie types, or the ones that still need developing (but we were "forced" to play them this year) like Stretch and ANB.

The game revolves around midfield, if we want a chance at a finals spot in the next few years, our midfield will need to compete with an A+ midfield.

Lewis Jetta and Callum Sinclair straight swap. Gee, I reckon the Eagles lose that one.

Also, lock in Sinclair as one of your ruckman in Supercoach next year!

He was insipid in the GF. Failing at the big dance can fcuk the confidence of young blokes.

Highlights - there's movement at the station but not at Jolimont.

Harley Bennell will play for the Fremantle Dockers next season after they agreed to a trade today with the Gold Coast Suns. Bennell and pick 22 were sent to the Dockers in exchange for picks 16 and 35.

Lachie Henderson is officially a Cat after Carlton and Geelong agreed on a trade to send Henderson to Geelong in exchange for the club's first round selection in next year's NAB AFL Draft. It is the first time ever that a club has traded a future pick.

Steve Johnson could be a Giants player next season after meeting club officials and taking a tour of the club in Sydney today. It is believed any deal would involve a playing and coaching contract. The Giants confirmed the meeting tonight, but insisted no offer had been made yet.

Lewis Jetta will play at the West Coast Eagles next season after tonight being traded by the Swans in a direct trade for Eagles ruckman Callum Sinclair.

Gold Coast football manager Marcus Ashcroft says the club is still hopeful of securing more talent this NAB AFL Trade Period, with the club eyeing off Paul Seedsman (Collingwood) and Daniel Currie (North Melbourne) in possible trades.

With Geelong securing so much talent this NAB AFL Trade Period, forward Josh Walker could be forced out. There have been reports today that the Brisbane Lions will make a big play for the 22-year-old.

Interest continues from the GWS Giants for Geelong ruckman Dawson Simpson. The unrestricted free agent is expected to join the club this week.

Sounds like everyone is cleaning up while we focus on bringing in C grade duds.

Surely you have to give our coaches and list management team a bit more respect than the above?

It's a long two weeks...

Let's not get carried away with negativity just yet

Jeez there are set dead set sad sods in here. The expectations that an A grader will all of a suddan leap us into a finals is outrageous.

Where was Port Adelaides A grader when they rose up the ladder? Where was the Western Bulldogs A grade elite when they rose up last year.

Indeed - the cult of the messiah

A signing will fix it all

Instead of the rising tide that lifts all boats

It takes 22 blokes not an individual. Wont be the end of the world if we dont land one.

Fcuk Howe. He is not a free agent.

Ship him off to the team that gives us the best deal. Dealing with colonwood would be 7 days of stalemate, while they try to force us to take Kennedy and nothing else.

I'm all for a bit of banter, but maybe if these types of antagonistic 'filths' attitudes weren't present, things would get done. Essendon are notorious as well for hating every one else hence their shitty stagnant screw-everyone-over trade attitude. I know i'm being knit picky but you can't expect other teams to be amicable if we are also harboring a 'whats in it for us' and nobody else Abbott approach. And largely Roos doesn't seem to be that way, seems to get things done with communication and compromise.

Mi don't want to lose the Toump. I still think he can become a good player. Pick 29 for him isn't great for us, it's actually very poor, I'd rather hold onto him for a few more years and if he doesn't make it cut him. 29 in a weak draft is poor.

We can get Kennedy for a third rounded from the filth, a second rounder is overs for him, they were poor this year and he couldn't get a game.

agreed G,, too cheap. keep him.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
