After watching the highlights of Kennedy on MFC website he looks more competitive and harder then what we've seen out of the toump. Excited to see what he brings next season!

Exactly the biggest thing thats held him back was his calfs which both were operated because of some compartment issue. He is alot more ferocious and attacking more then Toumpas and can actually kick a goal.

Lets not forget majority of his games has been starting as a sub so his development has been stifled unlike Toump who just simply struggled with the high intensity.

Good luck to Toump i was a fan but Kennedy excites me more.

Yes, and people should also remember that Ben Kennedy would have been taken by Melbourne at Pick 4 if Toumpas was gone, so the club is adding a player it clearly rates very highly and probably now moreso than Toumpas.

Lol wait what?

So... we would've overlooked Ollie Wines, Stringer, Macrae, Menzel, Grundy, Mayes?

I don't think so - perhaps we were looking at him with our second rounder but definitely not our first.

Collingwood picked him up with 19th.

Mahoney is a spud:..

Hold firm and send Howe to GC otherwise let him go in the draft.

Poor decision

In what scenario is letting Howe go in the draft a good decision?

I have posted Toumpas's stats on here too many times so i won't again, but for those who haven't seen them (ones new to Demonland), they are actually not bad and show good progress. Just that he was cursed with the pick 4 draft number, and the fact that we didn't draft Wines.

I feel like this will bite us in the foot, and Toumpas will blossom in Port Adelaide.

Now i have said this, and my stance has forever been stated here on demonland, i will move on.

Hope Jimmy does achieve something in his career, even though he will be maligned forever by most on here.

That says more about our past drafting record than Ben...

If Howe went into the draft - Collingwood would pick him up there.

Honestly, save the indignation for when we 'collapse' and let good players leave for less value...

I don't see what the problem is. We still have Watts and Trengove that fit the category of "high draft picks we are holding onto in the hope they will come good" and they have both shown far more than Toumpas even did. Time to move on...

Welcome to the club Ben.

Think we could have got more for Howe and paid too much for Melkshem. Hope I am proved wrong.

So we essentially got a pick in the 50's for a nervous wreck on the field, and Kennedy and a mid second rounder for Howe. Not the disaster many think it is.

When all this is over, if what's being rumoured comes to pass, we will have received Kennedy for a nervous wreck on the field, and Melksham and Bugg for Howe (or any permutation that you want).

While keeping all our picks.

Didn't realise how hard he is in the contest - His highlight package has eased my mind.

Watch this Dees fans and especially those want to get Carlisle - there is an abysmal bit of play where he hits BK late, and then motions to the ump that he dove... Really inspiring from the latest over priced CHB to change clubs...

Why have we gone after Kennedy if he can't kick (hit targets)?

We have enough of those already!

Wouldn't have known Ben Kennedy, but watching his highlights pack the one thing that stands out is competitive aggression. If those of you naysayers can't see what this club are trying to create, or should I say re-create, then you aren't paying attention. So far we have Kennedy and Melksham, and seemingly Bugg. What is the MAIN thing these guys have that Toumpas and Howe don't? Hunger for the hard ball and the contest. It's THAT obvious, and it makes me very happy.

Yeah well, I also believe that I will win Tattslotto one day!

Dud pick four and IMV will be delisted after two years!

What the Christ were we thinking !??drafting a bloke with dodgy hips, questionable skills and decision making?

Oh.. so typical MFC!

One day I might tell you all what I really think!
