Luke Hodge caught drink driving - registered 0.068

Not a good look a few weeks from finals.

Is out suspended for this round.

Sill, poor form on his part.

From a betting point of view, $9 for North against the tiges seems over even though theyve rested many.

Probably wrong but the Tiges have got the propensity to fail spectacularly.

Posted

Perhaps the Tigers still think mistakenly that if they lose they could finish 9th?

Posted

A win tonight for North may still be good for them. Assuming the Dogs beat Brisbane and Adelaide beat Geelong then North will play the Dogs and Crows will host Richmond.

As for Hodge there's no way you get a reading of .068 from only 3 or 4 beers unless he smashed them in about 45min and then jumped straight in the car.

Posted

Just about worst case scenario for Toiges would be a narrow unconvincing win with some sore bodies.

It could be confidence sapping struggling to beat a team that really didn't wNt to win.

Now all I can wish for is for Harvey to get caught out doing what he does, sniping, for a totally indefensible reportable offence. One that even the MRP and tribunal cannot ignore.

Seems Tom Lynch got his contract and has gone back to his old form...

Posted

It has been creeping up and creeping up, but never quite getting there thanks to one or two close games, but...

Could this farcical final round be the one to reach an average winning margin of over ten goals?

Posted

Should've known this would happen in Geelong. There goes my lead in the tipping competition, everyone else tipped the bloody Cats.

Goddamn it!

Posted

Think someone needs to remind Brisbane they have a number a draft pick riding on this, doggies look like witches hats at the minute!

Posted

Bizarre round.

8 goals 11 behinds to Brisbane? Just imagine if they were kicking straight. The Bulldogs have kicked 9 goals ZERO behinds. Incredibly accurate and means they're less than a goal down.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
