Wonder if Roos will steer Taylor away from the Blues' fire-sale. Mental scars and all that.

I would keep even further from the Bummers fire sale: other than any who may have refused the injections.

(Or, unless they are somehow miraculously cleared before trade time.)

I was amused at hearing Maxwell on SEN demanding that everything should be dropped immediately. He kept on about a "clean slate" because it has dragged on too long - hey, Nick: who has dragged it out? Mr Hird and his associates of course. They deserve no mercy.

carlisle to the blues has been the hot word for some time.

hope they enjoy the two years he's banned from playing...

wouldn't touch any of the 'bomber 34' with a bargepole.

Exactly.

Wouldn't want a single soul on the Don's list. Z-hack maybe but not for the coin. The Blues however might throw up a few cheapies. If someone could sort out Casboult for cheap I'd be pretty chuffed, And if they're having a complete clean-out I'd take Simmo for a season or two (admittedly haven't seen them much this year though).

I'd say Mach5 is Maschy, which means he has very good sources at Geelong...

Just gave away his only credible cover.

After he was telling opponents "this club is [censored]" after games a month ago - it was kind of obvious that he might want to have a think about possibly making a change...

Carlton get him and hes banned two years by WADA.

Laughs ensue.

Yeah nah no bombers unless they didnt inject although goodwin would know who they are!

that would be hilarious

Slobbo reporting that Ess would take a round 1 AND round 2 pick for Carlisle

Bwahaha hahha ahhhahhaaaa

What freaking planet are these idiots on. He'll walk to carlton for zippo, NADA, zilch!!

OMG what a club in denial. If my club traded me to the Bummers I would sue them for breach of duty of care!!

I don't think robbo is ever sober. he's a $hit kicker at best

If we haven't spoken to Zaha I'd be [censored]

I like that idea.

Carlisle to the PSD

Bombers get nothing.

Carlisle banned for 2 years.

Blues get nothing

It's perfect!

Essendon are crap to deal with. They want the world and expect everyone to pay overs.

No different to Pies.

I'd take him as a backman

Not for a 1st rounder though

I like that you didn't wear your scarf, I like that Carlton have hit rock bottom, and I like that everyone is going to abandon the druggies.

I think we should make a play for Daniher or Zaha. Both should be clean, taking Daniher will rip out their hearts. Time to pounce and kick a dying dog

Jesse you have demonstrated exactly the amount of compassion our drug addled friends at Essendon deserve. None. Give yourself a gold star.

Guy who pouts and whinges when the coach doesn't play him in his preferred position.

Um, sound familiar? Pass.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
