Tom Lynch (Adelaide Crows)

How reliable is Rob Waters?

For the right price I'd be happy to have him. Had a ripper game tonight, although it was only against the Lions. 25 goals and 25 goal assists in a season is nothing our club could ignore.

Easier to do it with Adelaide's midfield and the run off the backline from guys like Smith....he would not have those numbers being a forward at the Dees this year...don't overrate this guy.

If it was the one from Gold Coast I'd be thrilled. The one from Adelaide, not so much. I was devastated when we missed Lynch by one pick and took the Spud Cook instead.

he's (gcfc) contracted til the end of 2016... has had some injury concerns over the last couple of years.

the Lynch from the crows is up for contract now, is 6'-3" & also plays inside mid & forward.

Roos hasn't put a foot wrong so far with recruitment. Lumumba the only question mark so far but he'll improve as the team does.

Lumumba is 28... & was needing a home, & we needed running players who can run from defence & counterattack, like yesterday... he's good when the teams OK

Lumumba was good enough to join us to help us back on track, for his remaining AFL time... he isn't our weakness.

its the transition from him, over the next couple of years, that we need to find now, to grow them.

Newton, Riley, Michie....

Not sure we can call them raging successes.

All 3 DFAs who cost us nothing to get, but provided mature bodies to protect the kids when needed.

Those that haven't been deemed unable to cut it can be delisted at the end of this season for no opportunity cost.

Pretty good result.

Adelaide's Tom Lynch looks unfashionable but is a damn good player who is smart, works hard and makes things happen. He would vie for Garlett for our second most goals and unless things have changed leads or close to leads the league in direct goal assists. Being one of our biggest issues is our quality of delivery forward of centre and our link through half forward I am not surprised of our interest. 4 years I would think is too much but whilst we have improved we are still a cellar dweller and will need to pay overs to convince quality players to come.

I wouldn't even consider trading Toumpas and our 3rd rounder for Lynch and their second rounder. Let alone throwing our second rounder in WITH Toumpas, that is crazy.

Lynch isn't that good. Toumpas has more upside. He will take time to develop mentally, but when he does, he will be an important player.

Toumpas is a dud

I knew that the moment I saw him interviewed on draft day. He's a mummies boy, How the fark we missed on Wines is unknown.

We are not a destination of choice, so we need to offer massive overs to entice players (Clark, Dawes).

Rob Waters just said on SEN now he is now seriously considering our 4 year deal. Wants his future secured due to having a young family and being back in Melbourne with family is another factor plus the friendship with Jack Watts.

I think that Rob Waters is clutching at straws with the Jack Watts friendship factor. Lynch was originally drafted by the Saints and went to Adelaide.

Lynch is Dangerfield's closest mate at Adelaide, and I doubt that the lure to come to Melbourne would be so that he could be close to Dangerfield, when he goes to Geelong.

I have actually been watching him pretty close all season since I had him in my dreamteam and would be a great pickup. He gets around the ground from drifting across in front of a pack to intercept a mark in the back line to kicking goals, can also pinch hit in the ruck which is a bonus.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
