Shocking holding the ball against the Tiges for a gimme goal to Gunston! Prior opportunity really and it could have been deemed high for that matter.

Posted (edited)

That free goal to Hawthorn Gunston epitomises my rapidly declining interest in the game of AFL - the Tiger (can't remember who) went in, got the ball, NO prior opportunity, tackled INCLUDING ONE OVER THE SHOULDER / NECK, and freed for HTB !!!!

Not even effecting MFC in any way but this pi55es me off completely. Turns me off AFL - Gill, take note if you bloody well care.

NOT a correct tackle, and NO prior opportunity. Free to the guy with the ball, (or at least ball up) every day of the week.

Gibson tried to beat five tackles earlier and got a ball up.

Have the rules changed again?

And again - Puopolo pushed some ball getter in the back, ridden into the ground, again with NO prior opportunity - HTB.

Get stuffed, AFL - reward the bloody ball getter.

That was paid as a push in the back mate.

Pathetically inconsistent.

And the AFL are (supposedly) considering adding even on more umpire per game which would be 9 more per week.

How deep a cesspit do they have from which they can trawl 9 more maggots from?

They have already dipped far too deep.

Will just compound the mistakes.

How the hell did we beat Richmond (and Geelong and Fottascray for that matter) yet succumbed to the Druggies and Saints x2???

Well done Tigers tonight. They applied pressure and rattled the arrogant Hawks

We must be talking about a different incident I believe.

gotta thank Richmond for suddenly make a very boring season a bit more interesing

Great win

Hope they finish 4th and Sydney or Hawthorn drop out

I really don't want to think about the Richmond supporters talking themselves up, but how good is it to see the smugness wiped off the faces of Hodge, Mitchell, Burgoyne, Lewis and co.?

Proof that sustained pressure for the whole game can keep you in any game against anyone.

I hope some of our players learn from this.

Edit: also relevant to note Richmond didn't really have anyone stand out too much, but had a really even contribution from all 22. No real passengers.

The one where he tackled Taylor Hunt? That one was paid as a push in the back. The Miles one was given as a free to Gunston. If there was another one I must have missed it while eating my toast...

Credit to the Tigers, didn't allow Hawthorn to play their game and applied pressure for 120 minutes.

Didn't walk out expecting to lose, that's for sure.

Also helped having 3 extra players on the ground, which is par the course for Richmond. Clear of the next team for total free kicks in their favour this season by over 70 (North Melbourne, land of the divers, in 2nd).

Richmond beat Sydney.

Richmond beat Fremantle.

Richmond beat Hawthorn.

Melbourne beat Richmond.

That means Melbourne is the best.

/Half-life 3 confirmed.

Interestingly we played all of them in 4 consecutive weeks

The umps tried to change the result but they weren't bad enough on the night.

well done Richmond scum.

The only way to beat bullies is to bully

them.

The result was not affected by the umpire, but many bets were.

Time they were fully reviewed/changed over.

One incident I remember clearly is Frawley not allowing a Tiger to even guard the mark.

Why are you allowed to even touch him?

Several verbal warnings, distract the marker, then the kicker lands a pass.

No free against manhandling the guy on the mark?

Penalise theses niggling ,cheating bullies or [censored] off to the Sunraysia league.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
