Frawley still slow hand to foot I see.

Look up Lummox and there he is.

That first quarter was the worst I've seen Hawthorn play in years. They made some shocking skill errors, a stack of turnovers, fumbles, and bad decisions.

Almost all of it was brought about by Richmond's pressure. Huge tackling presence, numbers at every contest - their forwards pushed up the ground but they worked hard to run back as needed - and high intensity.

Lots of lessons to learn, not just for playing Hawthorn.

Frawley adds an interesting dimension to Hawthorn.

In a team full of beautiful kicks, Frawley brings the 'hospital ball' into their game.

I just might work. Did then.

I was about to say how does the Frawley bomb work for the hawks and not for us?

Maybe a lucky fre to Cyril just before half time, but after the whistle attacked about a dozen times - no 50.

I think Richmond were prepared for a knee high daisy cutter into the forward line.

Instead they got a Frawley hospital ball. It worked on that occasion. Mightn't always work for them.

He is an ordinary kick is James Frawley.

I think the Richmond players either didn't hear it - or thought Rioli played on.

It's hard to preempt what Taylor Hunt was thinking, he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

I will add, I don't think it should've been a free kick to Rioli in the first place.

But given that it was.. The 50 should've been paid.

Got to admire Richmond. Lose to us early in the year but regroup and beat teams we could only dream of beating. Regardless of the final score tonight, they play with a shite load of heart. The contrast with us could not be more glaring.

Umps will ensure Hawks win. Sure as day follows night

so far they are doing a pretty good job for Richmond however.

stratton drops a mark in defensive 50 with no pressure and its a dropped mark. Watts drops a mark and gets bagged on the footy shows as ducking his head. Gibson and roughead having shockers tonight.

If the tigs get up there fans will be wanting gf tickets.

The umps have kept the Dawks in it.

Still time for Mitchells face to be smashed in!

Well played Richmond, so far.

But honestly it is being over umpired

A team trailing by 3 goals 3 minutes into Q4, forward at HF picks up the ball, running hard towards the boundary, one foot from the boundary handballs it over - deliberate!!! WTF are they thinking?

Or, more realistically - WTF, are they thinking?

Richmond work so hard to support each other at the contest and they always have numbers at the drop of the bal

We do neither and thats why we still suck

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’
