I don't rate Melksham at all; whinging, pathetic little [censored] who pretends to act tough. Waited all year to see Viney clean him up with a bone-crushing tackle. Was disappointed to see him out and replaced with an unknown.

Well I am sitting at home with a bad cold. Fire on, ugg boots on. Demon dogs lying on the couch with me under a rug.

My kind husband went to the Prahran Market to get me some jam donuts so I can pretend I'm at the footy.

Go Dees - I really dislike Essendon and hope we tear them apart.

Everyone at the G - keep warm. I applaud you all going out in this weather.

I am feeling excited and confident about this afternoon.

Go Dees.

I'm absolutely packing it on the way in.

I really don't have faith in us; the weather should draw the two sides closer and that really worries me.

It's going to come down to a battle of who puts their head over the ball and wants it more.

Back in the days of Swooper and the Reverend, I remember going to the footy and expecting to win. Many years have passed, and my nerves aren't up to this favouritism stuff. God I hope we put them away which and their heads drop, otherwise I might have to call in at the Epworth on the way home for a reboot!

Rain stopped for the moment. Not a huge crowd. ..snow must be good lol

Agreed frankie, hoping we hit the scoreboard hard early and put serious doubts in their minds.

The only positive I'm taking out of the weather is it'll make it slower and harder, and that means our lack of run post-Darwin won't be so important.

If we lose today tho...

I had every intention of going before I found out my Myki ticket had expired and I had nowhere to get a new one. What a great system that is.

That's pretty poor on their behalf. How are they supposed to raise revenue by charging you $6 for a card that costs ~20c if they don't make them easy to buy?

Don't worry J02, just keep one eye on dland for a clear unbiased commentary!

We will need to start well here. Can't let them try and forget about the result last week too quickly by giving them a few early goals. In this weather, any sort of lead is massive.

It's partly my fault because I did get an email a while ago to say it was expiring but I hadn't used it since so totally forgot.

They're $6 because they have $6 credit preloaded on any new card.

Tuning in from Washington DC. First chance I've had to watch a game of footy in the four or so weeks I've been in the states - Hope it's worth staying up for! Go Dees.

Commentators calling them the baby Bombers, apparently 12 players with less than 40 games.

Looking at our side we have 10 or 11 under 40 games too. Bet they don't mention that

What did we do to deserve this?

Perhaps a left field initiative to get people to go to the game?

Funny thing to say but we look the bigger side out there. .even ss thinks that. Lads look sharp.

Lets see how we fare.

Almist time to go

Go Dees

All this talk of injuries for the Bombers gives me no comfort -- we beat Geelong with our worst injury list of the year.

Ah, right. Wasn't aware of that - was lead to believe when I bought mine that there was no credit on it - I may have had my ears closed at the time though.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
