They can give us Rance then..

Seriously, nobody from that mob could come close to the value we'd want for Tyson. He's not going anywhere.

Only deal id consider is ellis for tyson. Pretty sure we'd be paying him more money than they could

They should get more creative then. Seems like every year they look at someone from our list. Its never worked out well for them either

Fair enough. Let's change this to 'very little', potentially.

BS Adam, same circumstances as Judd or Boyd leaving before free agency, they would still get a 1st round pick next year, so stop trying to valid your stupid wrong point in first place that they'd lose him for nothing.

Tigers were said to want him before we acquired him.

Having said that, I can't see us trading Tyson unless it's for an exceptional return.

You haven't put this imbecile on ignore yet?

Does that make you feel better?

Can rest easy on Tyson for the time being. Richmond would have to put something extraordinary on the table for the club to even consider it.

Unless Tyson wants to move there... god forbid

no we don't give up P-6.

we aren't well off enough, to give away our chances on elite kids from the draft at this stage. if we 'PASS' on another Stringer, or Wines, then I'm done with footy forever.

Prestia is contracted til next year, IF we cannot tempt a trade for him this season, then we wait til 2016.

O'Meara, we should be chasing, & looking for a trade deal for him as well... but we keep P-6. Trade players, Or a mix of players, plus our 2nd Rnd pick, OK... but don't pass up a Curnow, or such.

So you think we should take a punt on a young kid in the draft instead of a proven gun?

Also I think you time int eh sport will be short if you walk the next time a draft pick goes wrong, happens all the time to all clubs, that is why taking a punt on a kid when a gun is in the offering would be stupid in the extreme.

Should know that means nothing Jaded

It actually means something - it actually means a lot. It means the club holds all the cards. But if you are alluding to the fact that contracted players move - spot on.

Why in God's name would Richmond want Tyson?

Anyway, could work out okay.

Prestia to Melbourne

Tyson to Richmond

Ellis to GC

Posted

Why on Gods green earth would we trade out one of our best mids for ? Dom had a quieter year compared to '14 but if he ended up at Richmond I'd be seriously pist off.

Where the hell has this trade Tyson junk come from?

No way in hell are we interested in trading Tyson.

Yet it is trading time and it was our own coach who said that all players were potentially trade able.

Although given the story on Hogan........not everyone. Perhaps we should not take the coaches comments too literally but it does suggest that Roos has an open mind on our list.

If you look at the Hawthorn template you can see what player attributes every coach must be seeking. .

lol. Richmond can be as 'interested' as they want.

Honestly, I love this time of year, but some of these things that come out are just plain dumb. There are so many dimwitted footy fans out there that reckon clubs bandy player names about is if they're playing cards. There is absolutely no way in the world the club would be interested in trading Tyson after the lengths it went to get him here, and I'd be surprised if Richmond even wasted their time enquiring.

well even hoges at a pinch, ernest.

if someone offered you 3 a-grade 24yo players you would at least have to consider it

Reading from the top of the thread downward, it is funny how things snowball. 'Middymalt' probably just pulled this out of his arse and now people are mentioning possible trade scenarios...

Tyson has only been at the club for a couple of years, is a very good player (had an underrated season to an extent, I think) and is contracted. Seriously, I think some of the discussion would be better spent on other potential scenarios.

Tyson won't be going anywhere.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
