Mate, stop defending him. You know how much better our club would be with Clark Hogan & Dawes I know some of the clubs most die hard supporters, people who have been supporting the club in every way possible for a very long time, even they are dirty with Clark and feel like he has let us down.

Sure it's just a job, but when there is big money and supporters involved it is different!

sorry freo forward is matt taberner thanks for quoting me

is this rubbish your only involvement with this website or what

very passionate about telling others what to do aren't you

Since there's nothing in that post that represents telling anyone what to do, I can only surmise that you're indulging in your usual habit of sniping ... or the other equally usual one of mistaking English for some other language.

Either way, there's nothing that can be said to you that can't more usefully be addressed to a vacuum.

Reminded me of American Pie the moment I read it. Don't know why I bothered posting that....

Sorry, Bob, I cant help you either. Maybe you need to do one of those word association tests to work out how deeply that song has located itself in your psyche. Then again, maybe it would be better not to know.

Yeh I have quoted you and I think Hogan will be so much better than Tabener...only time will tell.

I am surprised that when Melbourne released Clark from his contract they did not include a 'competitor clause' . Standard in most employment contracts. I know that things would be different in AFL and under the AFLPA"s Agreement, but given the fact that release was a separate contract to the employment contract I think the MFC could have protected itself by restricting Clark from un-retiring and moving to a rival club

When you go to a GP and tell them you might have depression, they ask you to fill out a questionnaire. It has a whopping 10 multi-choice questions on it. One of the questions is 'how often do you feel depressed' (I [censored] you not). So you take 3 seconds to answer the survey and guess what? you are diagnosed. It is a joke. It is about as scientific as a cave painting - and obviously it can very easily be manipulated to suit one's needs

And you suggest I agree with you ? Wow....

So that's how it works ay ?

We have a few seriously sick individuals that support this club. Time to move on, get over it. its clearly doing your heads in.

One of my workmates made a comment about whether I was upset with Clark's performance. My observation was

A) It would be hypocritical if I was considering the circumstances of how the MFC recruited him,

B) I'd rather have Lumumba, who has an amazing record for actually getting and staying on the park and

C) HL actually offers something to the culture of the club with the way he prepares and trains. Clark brought nothing.

I am sure Clark's position at the club was untenable for whatever reason before he retired. Most likely the powers at the club fully expected that he was going to end up playing somewhere else. Overall pragmatism won out out and we managed to get a decent replacement for him in the end.

I remember Roosy said after he left that there were two sides of the story and he would leave at that..

The feeling i got was he wanted to mentioned what happened but kept his professional hat on. Something definitely wasn't right.

can you have another go at constructing that response in a somewhat legible way, instead of mashing random words together?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
