We didn't actually get "compensation"! We were just fortunate that our FD retained him on our list until 31 October, ensuring that the only way that he was going to end up at a Club of his choice was through a trade. An astute move by the MFC!

Clark, if fit, is the best full forward in the comp IMO - he is simply an absolute gun.

Watched the Bris vs St K game and while there were a lot of basic rusty errors, I've got to say that I like the look of Brisbane. The inclusion of Beams and Christensen will be a big plus. McCartin led well and looks smooth.

Any thoughts on the other matches?

I have to admit after all the injuries so far, I'm scared to watch our match on Thursday. I've got Foxtel and have already set it to record the game, but I don't think I can handle watching it live.

Mitch gave off a couple of very quick handballs which resulted in goals.

I thought he moved well, and seemed to work well with Hawkins....they didn't fly for marks together.

Nauseating.

Meanwhile I enjoyed seeing Frawley concede a goal due to a judgment error, just like he did once or twice week with us.

He didn't seem to do much else, though I didn't see the whole game.

I think he'll struggle to get a game at Hawthorn this season, but perhaps they've got 2016 in mind, when Lake will probably be gone.He might not make the grade.

No..He looked like a player who hadn't had played a game for two years but one thing was apparent. He knows how to make space, how to lead up and when to drop back and how to be in the game - he got clear repeatedly - it was his hands that were rusty and let him down - dropped some gimmes and fumbled.

To me, the only thing stopping him being a very good pick up for Geelong is his history of his body letting him down.
