Swimmingly.

Any tips? Just keep it quiet between you and me. we don't want others jumping in early. I am struggling these days myself. Blue chip, high yield but they go up and then they go down. It's a roller coaster.

Wow. This is all we need.

I think PJ deserves more time.

Cook is a great operator and an ex Demon but PJ should be rewarded on going service considering the clubs turn around.

Bartlett could alienate himself...

Double wow - before we start the usual ritual wrist slashing, why do we believe any of this?

Why? Just the past 10 years of self destruction by successive administrations who have had a great time paying themselves overs big time and delivering jack Shyte outcomes. Other than that I don't know why I might be worried.

Just what we need, it has been so quiet on the media front, whoever leaked this to the media is an idiot! Thanks ex board members for destabilisation. Just when everything was looking up... I hope PJ stays and Bartlett has some sense about him. We would not have Roos without Jackson and Jackson is the reason our club is on the rise, not Bartlett. Who the hell is he anyway?

Peter Jackson saved this club. If anyone should be replaced, it's Bartlett!

It's like this new era of prosperity is too scary for the board and they feel the need to dive head first back into the cesspool we just climbed out of.

When will this club ever learn.

what if Jackson refused to commit passed say 2016,,,, & Cook was available & committed to go 4 years 2016, '17, '18, 2019 ??? what would you do then?

what IF the AFL want PJ to go back home, after the 'Hird' fiasco is finished with & the dust settling ???

whatta we do in that scenario?

why didn't jackson extend longterm at end of last season?

the fallout will travel far & wide after the bombers dropped their guts & the nuclear payload they carried under their pits.

the AFL will be allover the after-effects of the Hird/asada sorry saga.

Part of the conditions of us receiving AFL support was that pj is around to implement it, I can't imagine that's totally done if pj wasnts to stays on.

Then that is an outcome that doesn't upset anyone and is good for the club. However the story so far is that the president allegedly wants to go after another Ceo rather then commit to the current one.

I just wouldnt stand for the club going after a pipe dream and alienating one of the best administrators this club has had for a decade.

Cook would have to be an absolute deadset lock in before you could even consider not extending jacksons contract. Otherwise Jackson walks, Cook say no and where standing there with Cameron Schwab as the only applicant

Can someone explain to me exactly what PJ has done to be placed on a 90-metre pedestal by so many of you?

It seems he had a big role in getting Roos, which seems like a step forward, though far far far from a done deal as we are still at the moment 17th on the ladder

What other credits does have PJ have at the MFC thus far?

I'm not bagging him at all, nor suggesting he be moved on, just seeking clarification of his godlike status

For a start he has bought any expensive desks.

say that to Roosy 2016 & thats him done... both helped here by the AFL's beckoning. so will PJ be staying on beyond 2016?

I also ask why this has come out less than a week after the AGM? The board is still accountable to the members of this club, we outta start excersising some of our rights if Bartlett thinks he can get an ego and put us back where we were.

The optimist in me says that it's prob just 3aw rumour started by the anti Melbourne Der-Wayne

i don't imagine that IF Bartlett was sounding out Cook, that PJ has asked for an extension to his contract.

Surely we can't go wrong recruiting someone named Cook ... oh, wait ... :)

Didn't Cook resign a new contract last year or the year before?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
