Jack Trengove strange recovery program

Real Footy reports Jack Trengove as saying ""It's going to be a lot of boring time ahead for me, sitting on the coach especially in the next month or so.

"But it's all a part of it."

Perhaps we can await for their next report that Paul Roos has been smothered by our ex captain.

Meanwhile they have advised Eddie Mcguire to "Let it go" Good advise to Eddie in any circumstances. I am not sure what "it" is but can hazard a guess.

I was reading an article today about a woman with a leech up her nose that grew there for a month.

It got me thinking about the wonders of ancient medicine and I recalled that leeches produce an anticoagulant that will help blood to move to the area where they are applied.

Now I'm sure JT has had enough parasites feeding off him for a lifetime but while he is sitting on the couch playing puzzles I think it would be a great idea to give these suckers a go.

I recall hearing that slow blood flow is the reason the navicular takes so long to heal.

If I am correct I expect to be hired as club Witch Doctor forthwith and i will put my mind to lifting the curse.

apparently the leeches in romsey are as big as indian mynahs

you could start a partnership with bbo to harvest them

on the other hand thymosin beta 4 is also noted for increasing vascularisation and freely available on the web

Saw this article in The Age. Always makes me wonder when coaches have to make these sort of denials.

There is no doubt in my mind that if the foot problems had not surfaced that JT would now be a Tiger.

I firmly believe we have seen him play his last game for the MFC.

I don't think PR sees him in his future plans.

Trengove finished !! A physio mate of mine reckons that if he gets back it would be a comeback of enormous proportions.

The fact of the matter is he was all set for Tigerland, he knows it, the Clubs knew it and now that it is all said. He has an existing contract for the rest of the year.

Ok.. as a Melbourne player by all means extend any means available in his recovery. But unless a minor miracle occurs I think it is all over!

The Real question is can we downgrade him to the Rookie list ( with his blessing) which would entail still paying him his contract payments, to create another spot on the list?

This would be "prudent" list management and would be the way I would go!

I don't agree. Players have been doing Medicals at other clubs plenty of times to not get picked up. They had not even discussed the details. Elliot Kavanagh from essendon did several fitness tests but to no avail.

At the end of the day the foot injury is a big one and here's hoping he recovers. I think we will extend his contract throughout the year if it looks to be healing well

Absolutely! That is the way you treat players of Jack's stature when they've been injured in service of the club. Not this 'rookie him' rubbish that some have been espousing.

But he would say that wouldn't he?

No - he'd be risking his reputation to be so bold (assuming he was indeed bold - I;ve no idea what he said). He could have easily covered his bum by inserting a few weasel words, like 'if all goes well, then he will make a full recovery' which is the equivalent of saying if he recovers he will recover.

Dr Biff,WD.

My source says he has an imbalance of humors

Consulting "Galens guide to sports medicine" he should be bled a quarter pint and avoid watermelon to reduce his wet bile imbalance

So, the word of a "physio mate" has more credibility?

He has seen these injuries before and so is pretty qualified to speak.

A club Doctor's opinion is valid but so to is a physio who's job it really is to get these players back on the park!

I agree sue.

similar surgeons said Clark was ok to play with screws in his foot and look how that turned out.

My point I guess is I will believe the problem is fixed when he plays 20 games in 2016

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
