For anyone that has seen him live, how big is young Harmes?

Website lists him as 185cm & 78kg, but would assume he has put on a bit of size since.

Comparable to?

James Harmes

One cannot argue with that. Though no doubt some will

I find him to be a natural looking footballer

I haven't seen him live, expect for a couple of Casey videos. Was just curious as to his size/strength. Whether he'll get pushed around or be able to hold his own in the contest. When he can lay a good tackle, or get brushed off. Whether he is more a Morton type, or Vandenburg/Viney/Brayshaw type .... etc

Poor old Cale. He looks scared even in that photo. Lade probably wasn't even on the ground.

Wash you mouth out with soap !!!!!!

We don't recruit "Morton types" anymore.

ANB and Stretch don't exactly look incredible hulks, but they don't seem to get brushed aside easily. Maybe despite the criticisms re hamstring injuries, which may or may not be related to 'conditioning programs', Missen may just be doing a great job in helping prepare the young bodies for the rigours of the game.

Not a bad start today. He was far from our worst!

There's nothing to be gained from potting a debutant rookie, and I hope he gets another game, but he may well have been our worst today CBDees.

I'm much more concerned with Garland, Viney, Vince, Tyson, Jones, Dunn, Dawes, Lumumba, Garlett and Howe of course.

Harmed did some good things but he will be a solid player with a few more matches under his belt.

Maybe the sub next week to see if he can make more of an impact when fresh. He laid a couple of tackles and had a few touches, certainly not the worst debut and not the reason we lost.

Warney had a shocking debut and then look what happened.

I'd be very surprised if Harrmsey doesn't get another go next week - although agree it may be as the sub.

I could see both our Glenelg teens going back to VFL for a couple of weeks after today.

Thought he contributed well for a first gamer. Not like the tackling blinder that Brayshaw had round 1, which some here were against, but a good start nonetheless.

He has good hands.

He also had a pretty good shot at goal just before half time, but I'm not sure the 'miracle' attempt from the boundary would have gone done well with the coaches. Roos looked angry.

Should have centred it. Really liked his handball to I think Jones through traffic to release him into space. It took good vision and skill to execute. Bring him back next week.

Wish they would give him and ANB a go in the middle in bursts. These kids are natural ball winners and I get sick of it when they bring them in and plonk them straight in the forward line for majority of the game.

Get them into the action and give them the experience.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
