Deep throat tells me we are enquiring as to Sydney's Josh Kennedy.

We had a go last year, didn't we?

Next week is going to be full on.

Our list is going to look very different

It had to happen.

Just home...just read this... hole in one ...well done

others could learn

Agree - good work Mr Smoker !!

Griffen's move must put us in the game. The Bulldogs want early picks to use on this year's crop of talls - and we are the only sellers around. If they can drag a young gun out of GWS for Griffen and give him to us - the Bulldogs can get what they want.

Patton's knee has gone and they wont get Boyd. What other currency can GWS offer them?

If the Doggies could get a top 10 pick and a guy like Tomlinson out of this disaster they'll be doing well.

Once again, where has this come from? Multiple posters are sprouting this.

They may not be able to stop him, mate. If he says he wants to come back to Victoria and the MFC can offer pick 2 or 3, I think they take it and run. It's the same leverage we have with Dangerfield. We're actually incredibly lucky with this new FA paradigm (that has encouraged players, young and old to request a new home at will) coming into play when we have all these picks. Roos and co have been ready for it though. It's sounding ominous to me...in a good way.

I heard Wallet say it on trade radio, something along the lines of Petracca is the kid they really want if they can get him. But your point stands, I don't have evidence myself.

Now do you have any evidence Treloar wants back to VIC?

I don't have evidence of Treloar, because I wasn't saying he did want to come back to Victoria. If we were after him, we'd have to convince him presumably.

Someone just posted in the Potential trades thread, SEN have reported Dangerfield and Treloar are coming.

That would be the best outcome possible.

In some ways I would prefer Treloar to Danger and, like most here, I rate him in the top few of the league. Dangerfield, Jones, Treloar, Tyson, Viney and Cross gives us top 8 potential.

Ended up that it was just Jay Clark on SEN saying that if Dees traded Trengove for pick 12, it could give them enough early picks to be able to trade for two guys of the calibre of Dangerfield and Treloar.

It's not like the pen is hovering over the dotted line.

Richmond were to complete their medical assessment of JT this morning.

Keep hearing rumblings about some A Graders on route to the dees. Talks with Port Adelaide are ongoing about the offloading of pick 12 to them but that is old news when it comes our way for Trenners. It will be a sad day to see the heart and soul of our club to go. But we will lose more off field than we will on field. His best seems behind him which is strange for a 23 y.o. He isnt going to get any quicker.

As happy as I would be to head to the draft with Picks 2 and 3 and take home two of McCartin, Petracca, Brayshaw (who has injured his foot) I just cant see Roos going around with more kids. The expectation will be for Salem to really step up this year and unless traded the likes of Toumpas and Viney will be expected to have break out years after three preseasons.

So with a little more than 60 hours to go until the close of trade week, some big names are to be thrown around and expected to land. Its the unspoken ones which seem secondary to Beams, Griffan, Ryder and co.

Game on Roosey.

It is often mentioned that Roos has said something to the effect of not wanting too many kids, does anyone actually have the quote. As i wonder if he was referring to light underdeveloped players as opposed to some of the big bodied draftees available.

The quote was that he didn't draft talls out of the TAC. The reasons being that TAC rules don't allow flooding/ double teaming and that you don't know what the quality of opposition they're playing on is like each week, eg one week they're on someone the same size, the next they're playing on someone a foot shorter than them.

I reckon we'll work this all out buy late Thursday

Luke Parker.....................

Could we be that fortunate? Hell, I'd trade 90% of the team for a player like that.

would be a dream scanario

still young, about to tun 22 and averaged 26 touches, 6 tackles and kicked 25 goals

On the verge of greatness this kid, he is just so damaging

Just won the Swans B&F. They won't trade him in a pink fit.

Might be time to get comfortable with the fact that there is no hidden target and Lamumba, Garlett and Frost might be it.

We only had 3 trades last year too.

We are secretly/quietly pressing hard for a midfielder from ****** who was at the Brownlow night. Will have to move from where he lives though.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
