Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

If it makes the side better in the long run, I'm all for it.

But I really do like Jack and on face value it looks a trade that could leave us the laughing stock yet again.

Hmmm this is very interesting. Jack Trengove is not what we thought...Pick 12 must already be in place for an improvement..

8 years of failure here kiddies...Roos has been bought in to do the job

Let's see what happens.

Trengove has been sub par since 2011.......that is 4 years (88 Games....)

This is what "everyone is tradeable" looks like.

No point throwing our hands in the air, this is typical of the kinds of trades that many here have been proposing in regards to players from other clubs coming to the Dees.

As I've said above, I am a big fan of Trenners but you are pretty spot on here WYL.

If he weren't to improve from here on in, it'd probably be a win for us. But I really do hope we don't trade him.

If it's driven by the club then it seems near certain that we need the pick 12 to make another deal work. Coupling 2 or 3 with 12 can only mean a very very good player. I'm excited.

Where's the 'Trust in Roos' brigade when you need them?

Agree. It's gotta be bull.

Doesn't it?

I still think, as a collective (and I know we're asking plenty of the supporters), we need to hold our judgement on this trade until we see the bigger picture. Roos has stated that he doesn't want us to draft in too many kids and I believe him. While Dangerfield may be out of reach, there may be something else going on underneath it all that we don't know about yet. To me there must be a player out there that we can get for 2 first rounders that will bring more to the table than what Roos believes Trengove can, and he is going hard after it. It would mean we get one of Brayshaw/Petracca, an excellent midfielder, Stretch, Lumumba, Garlett and possibly Frost. To me that is an excellent trade period.

It still has to happen but I think there is more here than meets the eye.

Extended his contract when Scully took the money and ran.

Accepted the captaincy when we were at our lowest.

A role model on the training track and originally injured his foot doing non-compulsory preseason training sessions.

Even the article sights him as being 'reluctant' to move to Richmond.

I don't get overly worked up about list decisions the club makes - but this one would do my head in.

This is like trading Woewodin all over again.

looks like a terrible deal on the face of things.

a pick 2 from 5 years ago AND a second round pick for pick 12?

once a player is on a list it makes no difference where he was picked. If club sees potential it makes no difference if you're $cully or Rockliff

I'm clinging to this like Kate Winslet to a floating piece of debris in the Atlantic. Unfortunately, Jack Trengove is playing the role of Leonardo DiCaprio.

I am a massive wrap for Trenners and always will be... But... The below scenario is jumping out at me

Trengove to Tigers for pick 12

Pick 2 used by dees to snag best available mid

Picks 3 + 12 to Colling%^#* in exchange for Beams

Thoughts?

Beams doesn't NEED to move North... He WANTS out of shitsville!

Maybe its to help the Ryder deal get thru: An elite Port player to Dees for pick 3 and 12 and one of those Port sends on to Essendon (with their) 17 for Ryder.

Or something similar to help get the Beams deal thru altho I can't think of anyone I would want from the pies.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
