Don't understand why the need to pot players that don't want to purely leave their club especially coming to a lower club. Not every player has to entertain in coming to us.

No different to a Jack Viney going somewhere like a St Kilda

Its a sad reflection on dees current position that whilst you said it's no different to a Jack Viney going somewhere like a St Kilda, implying there were other examples you could have chosen - in reality only the saints are lower than us

How badly do you want a key forward, Dogs?

What alternative do you have? Too much unrest at your club thanks to poor senior player culture, you ain't going to be able to trade in any elite key forwards.

So what are you prepared to give up? Is McCartney prepared to stagnate at the same position on the ladder for another year? Would almost certainly doom his tenure.

They want it but they won't give up anything good for it.
We are in the command seat for this, they should be begging us.Don't off us anything good, then too bad so sad, no higher pick for you Doggys.
Tired of the MFC being weak as [censored]. Time to get a bit of Cee You Next Tuesday about ya.

Could Blease be part of the package?

Any love here for Big Will?

Minson screwed his back studying for an exam, that's why he dropped away so much this year.

At his age he ain't gonna get better and neither will his back

Anyone who suggests Bontempelli or Liberatore as part of a trade is on very bad or very good drugs, depending on what side of the fence you are on.

my ideal trade would be

Pick 2 and 21

for

pick 6 and Jake Stringer

As long as we get a guarantee from the Dogs they arent taking Brayshaw at pick 2 so he will be there for us at pick 3

Why would they trade an exciting young forward with enormous potential, just hitting his straps for another unproven forward with potential? They won't trade Stringer, Bomp, Libba, Wallis, McRae, Taylor, etc

Unfortunately, I can't see the dogs trading any of their young guns that we want as part of the deal. It's their senior players that are disgruntled with McCarthy and most likely to be traded, eg maybe Minson, Griffen.

Stringer might want to work on his marking based on that GWS effort.

What's the read on Hrovat? Is he out of the Trengove mould?

You don't knock back a guy that can give Chapman the don't argue because of one mark.

No way. Only a year or two more at most in him. Would be a waste of a high pick.

Absolutely not! End of story!

Surely sarcasm?

Griffen is still an awesome player and I'd definitely entertain a trade for 3 involving him and something else back.

assume GWS swap # 4 & Jaksch for Saints #1 & 21

assume MFC swap #3 & #22 for Bulldogs #6 & Hrovat

1- Giants Petracca

2- Demons Brayshaw

3-Bulldogs McCartin

4- Saints Wight

5- Lions Laverde

6- Demons Weller

We get Hrovat, Weller and Brayshaw. Huge win for MFC.

Add Stretch (Fson #39), Labumba (trade using Cats pick#35 gained from Clark), Frost (using pick 55 & Blease).

Jetta upgrade.

Does trading pick 2 or 3 really matter if we plan to trade one and keep the other? Bulldogs would only do the trade for Wright or McCartin. They aren't trading 2 to get Brayshaw. In either scenario both teams get what they want, but we get a better value trade (on paper) by giving them 2 instead of 3.

They just got a 2nd rounder for Higgins. Why not pick 2 for pick 6 and 26? No players involved, but we can on-trade 26 for a quality fringe midfielder at another club. They'll be happy to part with it if it means getting McCartin/Wright.

Good, except I think 3 and 22 for 6 and Hrovat might be overs.
