If he was so troublesome, how did he play 23 games in a top four side

Because he was allowed 2 mls of vodka in his water bottle.

Now we just need picket fence's approval and it will be final.

Not sure how I feel about being lumped in the same sentence as Picket Fence!!

As X musician once said!!

-insert shite song here-!!!

If Varcoe keeps Jimmy Toumpas out of the team it's alright with me!!!

Varcoe is no Ollie Wines!!!

Juice Newton!!!!

Bit of head wobble from some of the posters. We are currently fielding a team with Jordie Bloody Mckenzie. Has great acceleration, reasonable disposal, big game experience. Can't be any worse then what we've got.

No ones saying that, they're saying they wanted more.

I honestly thought we would investigate a 3 way trade with Geelong and collingwood. Varcoe for Clark seems straight forward enough. Would prefer a pick but Varcoe improves us even if only for a year or two while the kids develop.

I think Varcoe would be a horrible addition!
Silky outside midfielder at the best of times, soft injury-prone downhill skier at the worst of times.
Can utilise his strengths at Geelong with strong inside midfielders feeding the ball out to him. Will not have the same luxury at the dees and will be found out.
Struggles to find his own ball and compete in one-on-ones.
Not the sort of player we need right now.

This would not be a good result for MFC.

Varcoe is at a point in his life where his football will not get any better, and it'll be bloody surprising if he can maintain his current form.

Geelong will offer much better.

Tend to agree Machsy.

To me Varcoe is definitely the kind of player who does well in a good side, where other blokes are doing the dirty work, but will struggle in a trash side like our own. I'd rather go someone who is seemingly of less 'value' but contributes every week and competes consistently.

Hopefully they'll offer something better.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
