WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM FROST

Gipsy Danger

After watching his highlights what I found impressive was his burst of speed and his willingness to break lines. Could he be used as Roos' first 194cm midfielder? It would be an interesting project.

I really don't get the need for this deal.

He was gonna be a free pick up in the PSD, instead we trade pick 23 for him and picks we won't use.

So confusing.

I mentioned somewhere else that the attraction of taking him now over through the PSD is getting an extra month of development into him. Not an entirely stupid idea for an inexperienced player

After watching Jack Frost a few times this year and being impressed with him, to learn we were after his Brother had me giving the thumbs up and I hadn't ever seen him play!

Welcome Sam.

Why didn't he play the last 7 games for GWS?

Last game he played was against Collingwood which was round 22 I think.

Dont know where some on here are getting this idea he didn't play the last 7 games when he clearly played late towards the end.

Ps that was a dig at you btw.

I thought I heard it on sen and don't follow GWS so I didn't know that he had played.

Why the dig??

I would have prefered to have used a later pick for Frost but happy we have landed another key defender.

I don't know much about him apart from his highlights vid and stats from footywire. Interesting to see that he was ranked 4th (Rising Stars) in total rebound 50's behind highly touted young defenders Langdon, Kolodjashnij and Mcdonald.

My reasoning is this;

1. He Looks [censored] HUGE.

2. Might actually give a crap.

I love his speed and how he loves to go for a run and take bounces

Between him, T Mac and Lumumba we should have some real drive and flare off half back now

Better traits than I suggested. I hope you get what I mean. So disgusted with Frawley not giving a [censored] in the last third of the year :(

yes and Jetta, Dunn and [hopefully] Garland will also help! [with cameos from Grimes and Georgiou]

Why didn't he play the last 7 games for GWS?

He missed 5 out of the last 7.

I'd like to know if it was form or injury that left him out of the side as well.

He doesn't get much of the ball only getting over 15 disposals once this year.

Honestly do we really need him?

Dunn replaced Frawley down back only lowering his colours to Brown and McDonald played full back as well only lowering his colours to Roughhead.

We now have 4 key defenders down back and 1 key forward up forward going into RND1, not a really balanced side if you ask me.

Maybe they will use either Dunn or Garland up forward. Looking forward to a massive 10 to 15 goal season from one of them.

Pick 23 is way over his value, should of used pick 23 to grab a midfielder.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
