The Hawks' start was similar to Essendon's against us in 2000.

A few of our young players were punched up early and no-one stood up at the time....

this is why I want the Roos culture thru this club, then add a more rugged edge. close to the Bomba's Cats with Scarlett Chappy & Moondog in the side.

God i hope not, Conca is a big step down from a Shiel or Dangerfield

First time poster, long time lurker but wanted to share what I have heard

Pick 2 to Richmond for Pick 10 and Conca to MFC.

If that happens, I'm out. Seriously.

Conca is no Tyson, he is now what he'll always be.

I think we should forget Dangerfield he would be a massive gain but we would need to pay massive overs to get him to come to our club I believe we could probably do a lot better just trading with GWS and get the best deal with can for 3 or 4 of their young players who want to return/leave, i would be looking to swap 2 and 3 and a possibly a late pick for Cameron, Frost, Shiel and Treloar,

Lol, that'd be great, but there's no way they'd give up their three best players and a promising KPP for picks 2 and 3.

If we can get away with only using one of those prized picks and relieving ourselves of toumpas, do it. Keep 1 for Brayshaw. Its just a dream though isn't it?

Welcome gate 5! Although the above have seem to have shot you down in flames don't be afraid to post again. We can always use an extra discussion point as well as a bit of mirth and jocularity!

My understanding having checked with a source (no I won't name the source, choose to disregard if that's not good enough for you):

- MFC representatives (players) have met with Dangerfield

- New environment for Clark is on advice from his health professional

- Pick 2 and/or one of Toumpas or Trengove a possibility to go to Crows if Dangerfield wants to come

- Club sees pick 3 compensation as better list management strategic value than keeping Frawley

All things that have been floating around these boards and none of them means there is any certain outcome, but that's probably reality for this time of year. Lots of maybes and activity floating around, but nothing locked away and done deal yet.

Sorry but how is that news? That's what's been thrown up on here over the last couple of weeks with no sources.

Looks like a pretty raw deal for the Dees.

If true, however, we could trade on pick 10 to Adelaide and make it 3 and 10 for Dangerfield.

Making: MFC picks 2 and 3 = Dangerfield and Conca.

Would rather deal with GWS personally.

Besides we don't actually have pick 3 yet so it is hypothetical (although it's supposed to be a given). Will stand by pick 2, toump and draft positional changes

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
