I actually think watts would appeal to them more than trengove

Very good athlete, long-limbed. Ball use and decision making are definitely work-in-progress at best and he needs to put on size to grapple with the bigger forwards, was manhandled at times this year.

Uncanny how this appears to be a word for word description of our good friend Cale M.

Where do I sign?

Though you'd be hard pressed getting a second rounder back from Adelaide and GWS wouldn't be giving Bugg up that cheap, he's a decent player.

It seems that too many posters are clambering to offload Watts, Trengove and Toumpas as though Roos has no long-term plans for them. Personally i consider that all three are potential stars for the MFC and i suspect that Roos may share that view. How many other AFL Clubs have their supporters clambering to offload their No.s. 1, 2 & 3 draft picks, especiall ywhen one is a past (co)captain?

Take it or leave it for me on Adelaide. Dangerfield is not worth overs and pick 2 + Trengove would surely be enough. If not tough luck. There is Shiel, Jack Steven, Mitchell (sydney) and Im sure others I cant think of.

Might be right about Bugg though. 2nd rounder should do it though.

Um excuse me but I did not name Toumpas, he needs time. Give him a year in the gym and VFL. Soundnt play seniors at all next year. I think he will be a good player actually, regrettably perhaps not Wines quality but its early times.

I do believe its time for Watts and Trengove however. Watts needs a fresh start and so does Melbourne. It needs to start over and its the best thing for the club and player. Trengove, I feel was damaged from the captaincy and I dont see anything special in this person to consider otherwise.

Well having another look at it, if we recruit Malceski and Jones through FA we wouldn't be getting pick 3 for Frawley, going by the rules of the system.

If we can complete a couple of those transactions, we'll be looking a lot better.

We will not take any FA's. Delisted FA's are different. We will not again, water down our compo.

2 + 3 for Mitchell, Reid, Malceski and Sydney's first pick.

Go on Swans, your cap is stuffed.

Stuffed? I'm sure they'll find a way to offer Paddy Ryder $20 million over 27 years.

Please explain (further)?

A surprise is just that D-ox. We had a couple last year in Tyson & Vince. We will probably get someone left field that none have talked about ie: no I have no info for you!

To free up some $$ for the Swans and give them a shot a Wright to take over from Pyke and another young mid which won't cost so much $$ (yet) I'll offer pick 2 & 3 for Parker & Mitchell and maybe Malceski. Love the way Parker plays his footy!

Would love Melbourne to try get Martin from the tigers to ad some real grunt in our midfield. The bad thing is we could of got the boy for next to nothing last year. I know some will say he has to much baggage but the kid plays footy the right way and can really turn a game on its head with his kicking power. I would give up pick 3 for dusty in a heartbeat he is about to just come into that age were he will just explode IMO . Thoughts?

It would've been hard to do a swap for Dusty last year like we did with Tyson, where we got a good draft pick in return as well as the player for our picks. We didn't have the range of high end picks that we might have this year, eg, 2, 3 Chip?, 21PP???, 23 second round. Roos said he wants 5 picks in the top 25 (I think 25, not sure of number). Gives him great flexibility. Maybe Dusty is still on the radar?

Watts, Trengove & the Toump won't be traded.

One reason why he wont part with both 2 & 3 (if we get it? but we bloody well better!)

In regards to Toump I heard he wants to go back home??

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. Firstly the bad news - McVee went down late, which does look like a bad hammy - towards the end of match sim, as he kicked the ball. Had to

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
