  1. Sorry Hells, he was on the other side most of the time. When the group did the run through's, the new guys were on the far side doing 200m sprints. He was running quite well. Looks to have dropped most of his puppy fat.
  2. sorry didn't pay to much attention to him. Looks more toned and nice kick for goal.
  3. Salem did stand out a bit today. Used through the middle in full ground drills and puts the footy where the player should be and not necessarily where there running. Hope it's a big year for him.
  4. Got down for a look and was impressed at what was on display. No good at these things but since there's no reports so far I'll try put a few things down. I was about 20 min late and walked into a fast paced ball movement/decision making drill. I try get to a few training sessions each pre season and haven't seen this before. I should mention that Goodwin and McCarthy were running training and I didn't see Roo's all day. It was play on at all cost with sharp decisions which were generally hitting there targets. It was a great drill cause not only was it teaching the boys about ball movement it was teaching the defending group about guarding space or when to fully commit to the ball carrier. A couple of other notes from today. - I'm a Kent fan and he was running the boundary and he's a beast. Big thighs, thick through his chest. If fully fit come round 1 should be in starting 22. - they did simply things like goal kicking for 10 min. Garlett was doing dribble kicks, Hogan leading and marking, mid field clearance work. Backs intercept marking. Rucks tap work then tackle and spread. It was just the little things but to be honest things we need to make instinct and not stop and think oh yeah I need to be doing this. - loved the banter in the goal kicking. Gawn most vocal and pretty funny. Watts had a bit to say and you can see his very well liked by the boys. - running drill at the end was 2 sets of 10 x 100m sprints. Getting to the last couple you could see a few boys struggle then McCarthy yells out "talk and help each other through" to which a few boys piped up. Gus was struggling and Watts was tapping him on the back until the last one Watts almost run the last with his arm around Gus's waist encouraging/helping him through. They crossed the line and the two embraced for a while, nice touch. - Track said its a small fracture and not as bad as first thought, said media made it bigger than it is. - The team is looking big as in height and size. At one stage midfield was Vanders, Gus, Tyson and Gawn. I could only think that it would be a little imposing with the size. I've been writing this for over an hour and can't recall what I've said but that's what happens with 3 kids. Hope someone can take a little from this. Cheers
  5. Got to see Hogan go to work for about 10mins in the match sims. Someone did post that T Mac did well in the 1 on 1's and he did. Our midfield need to think quicker cause Hogans work rate up the ground then double back then lead again had T Mac trailing 10/15 meters but they held the footy to long so he had to run back towards goal and contest just making It easier for T Mac. Once when Hogan took a nice grab, Kent must of gave T Mac some lip, who got himself two fist's full of Kent's jumper and gave him a nice little whack which Hogan stepped in to defuse.
  6. I didn't hang around long but I did see this. Went down like a sack of spuds holding his left knee (I think). Stayed down for a couple of minutes with a few boys giving him a pat on the back/head. The medical team checked him out for 5 mins, he tried to jog and turn on it but picked up his bag and hobbled back Inside. Mark Stevens just got there after but might have some footage of him walking off. To me it didn't look good but I'm no medic.
  7. Sorry mate but his son is no older than 6.
  8. Sorry if it's already been said but not a fan of "so and so say's hi"!!!
  9. Not so sure that the Saints are going to take Petracca (and before I get shot down, this is only an opinion). I think they showed their hand a little bit with their over excitement of the news Boyd wanted a trade to the Dogs and joined the race within 2mins of it coming out! Knowing they would have to part with the number 1 pick to get him shows me they are desperate for a key forward. Only a thought.
  10. If it's not for a well known player, could pick 3&12 be traded to the Saints for pick 1&20(?) to get Petracca and Brayshaw?
  11. To free up some $$ for the Swans and give them a shot a Wright to take over from Pyke and another young mid which won't cost so much $$ (yet) I'll offer pick 2 & 3 for Parker & Mitchell and maybe Malceski. Love the way Parker plays his footy!
  12. Just putting 2 & 2 together and have Blease going to the Crows as player/coach! Maybe for Danger!
  13. Viney no. 31: to put some respect and passion back in the number. Hogan no. 5: to put some aggression, want & work rate back. Dawes no. 10: to be a presences & attack the footy, not run from it! Pederson no 27: let's hope he can be as good as the last, if not better. Need some help with Byrnes, Rodan & Barry.
  14. For everyone interested there's an article on the Dee's website about Hogan. Say's his family are Crows supporters, but he can't wait to come over to Melbourne.
  15. Can't wait to see Viney run straight through old $cully bag$, and make him earn his coin for the day!
