well speaking for myself rpfc

I gave my reasons previously why i would be pizzed off when there were 5 games to be played incl Bris and Giants games

I felt it was imperative we finish the season off with some positives to set ourselves up as favourably as possible for next year with respect to existing members, renewing lapsed members, new members, sponsors, player morale, respect etc etc

Yes we are already damaged, no i don't expect miracles or finals etc.

I just hoped we could show some improvement or positives (no matter how small) to finish off the season and not slide backwards

That's why i will be pizzed off

Spot on daisycutter - clearly you care - thank goodness someone does

Caring and position of finish are not necessarily mutually inclusive. The premise is a crock of shlt.

I still dont care about where we finish this year as its al but irrelevant other than what pick you get. I do do care about our list and many other things....that matter

That's your bolded line, not mine, but it may as well be mine.

I have already said that I am interested more in how we finish the season with our performance than where we finish. Hawthorm WCE, and NM provide a great test of the mindset that Roos has instilled.

Ironically, you are tacitly not including yourself.

Read the above, read what we have written and try to comprehend: we do not care about coming last, we care about how we play, who plays well, who does not, and who we target when these 4 games are over.

Understand?

Still 47-37 "i don't care"

Disgraceful.

WYL...with all due respect mate I think you're howling at the wrong tree.

The Topic isnt ...How upset you'll be if we dont have a crack for rest of year, nor is it How upset will yo be if we stuff up another trade /draft, nor is it How upset will you be if we are still this cr4p this time next year. Its simply asks about how you will be if we finish last. In the context of that I and many others just dont give a rats for the simple reason it doesnt matter. It affects my esteem not. It causes me no loss of sleep , it adds no more ridicule upon me that this club hasnt already by association ( that and pity ) So nothing will change to me So it doesnt matter to me

There's probably 40 odd players and a wagon load of staff professionals for whom it ought to matter a great deal. Go ask them, Go get their answers. But dont pour disgrace upon me or others for simply accepting ( again ) a poor result, one I add thats totally out of my ability to affect or change.

If you are that emotionally attached to a result of a sports club you may wish to seek greater joys in other pursuits and interests for the MFC is bound to let you down for some time to come I suspect

Mate...its just bloody footy

it refers to our ladder position after Round 23.

Pure and Simple

Nearly everyone else accept the KPI's are not necessarily attached to our finishing position..You cant see that

Saints play the dogs this weekend.

Saints win we are bottom

Don't howl me down but it wouldn't worry me one little bit.

We can guarantee the player we get in the PSD.

We could probably do a deal for a player with GWS, for not picking a certain player in the draft, thereby giving us a free player/pick.

We would probably have pick 2 if Chip leaves which could be traded for a slightly lower pick and another player ala the Tyson/Salem deal.

We could probably guarantee Stretch coming with a 3rd round pick as no one would probably offer a 1st round pick.

No. it wouldn't worry me at all.

I am not howling Redleg

But I hate even this talk let anone wishing for it.

The strategy I hated five years ago and I hate it just as much now.

Win, Win, Win, Win, Win and then use the picks we have to the best advantage.

IMHO that is the old way to fly

Hope that was not a HOWL

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
