great post - but I note with interest that you are only an annual member not a life member.

I question your loyalty that you have only signed up for one year.

Before I realised that you had only signed for one year I thought your posts were valuable and insightful but now I believe they have little merit and will be no great loss if you decide not to sign up again.

I have heard a rumour that you are hanging out hoping to be picked up by a more successful fan forum like "The Punt Road End".

The good news is that if P-Man does go we can get a very high compensation poster pick and cherry pick posters from Saintsational fan forum.

(good job P-man)

...

Bravo! Take a bow.

How long did you work on this for?

(*Genuine question, not being facetious)

(**honestly, I'm not)

(***seriously, I laughed)

Best read on demonland for 116 days.

Take an extra 10 minutes at lunchtime and have yourself skinny latte.

And a better page to read than rpfc's manifesto.

I thought you were a full cream man, jazza ...

Haha good. Half hour or so. Whipped it up whilst awake last night.

Song - damn, I knew I forgot something. Liking the cloud gif idea :)

Excellent. But I can't believe 2 things so far:

I can't believe no one has taken umbrage and occupied a couple of pages of useless back and forth argy bargy. Well done so far DLanders.

I can't believe that if the colour of the sky is wrong, it's not somehow Jack Watts' fault. (And there's a little bit of self deprecation in that!)

Edit: spelling.

the sky is blue, in my eyes anyway... fluid, prefer a low light blue myself, of the evening hue.

wrong colour for bbo, not enough amber in it for him/her, not sure. sunset hues for shore

daisy wants to know how to tax it, & make it work smart for him...

robbie f; just wants to own it, but for others to pay for him to take it home with him. 'he deserves it in his eyes', so he's just taking it.

eyebrows, working silently undercover behind the scenes, trying to turn the sky into a neck tie. a work in progress... ssshh. jkennett wants it cut up into pieces & sell it off to the highest bidders.

fan thinks its so random & inefficient, it lacks logical skills, & its a bit slow, old school. could be smartened up somewhat.

wyl wants it to pull its finger out & blow harder. except on washing day.

human headline wants to look down on the angry sky, but just can't seem to get up to heaven to do so ???

wilbur wants to serenade it & rock it baby.... what he wants to do to it after, worries me.

Well of course it's all Jack Watts fault - just goes without saying these days. No point in harping on about it. Roos keeps sticking up for him so even though we all know Jacks to blame for the silly blue sky, it's ok because Roos says it is!

I think rpfc would want to analyse and classify the sky on a number of criteria (for example hue, saturation, contrast, depth, air quality) to determine how our sky compares with the sky in 17 other selected regions of Australia. He could tell whether the sky at sunrise was brighter compared to the elite sky overhead, or the sky at sunset, and how much C-grade or D-grade cloud cover could be sustained before the sky stopped looking like sky we expected to have. Then we'd all have to move somewhere else because the sky was never going to look good again.

The question for many on here is not what colour the sky is but whether it's falling or not.

Bring on the Adelaide sky on Sunday. Let's watch it collapse and destroy the Power. Dees by 27. Blue sky thinking!

hmmn, an Adelaide 'Blue Sky' do you think we'd have the resources to 'Mine' that Blue Sky?

Given that it's multi-cultural round, and with some fusion of theme of this thread and the 2014 draft thread, maybe we should look at rookieing that Korean prospect... Song-sung-blue?

& we could get Willie Nelson to sing about our years of pain & Premiership longing - Blue Eyes Cryin

Good work P man!!!

However, I have to admonish you for missing my old mate Stuie.

If I may?

"The sky is blue at the moment but if someone else says it's blue - fu ck them, it must be green. And fu ck the green sayers too - they are wrong - it must be red.

I'll have a go at those bastards who say it's red too. Weak bastards, where is the evidence? My evidence is real evidence and it is right!

I say it's purple but Biffen says it's purple too - he must be stalking me. It's really yellow!

Fu ck all you bastards, I'm not going to post for a month just to teach you all a lesson"

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
