This is why I absolutely dislike Geelong real bad.

Go have a look on their facebook page and twitter and you will see why.

Basking on their 186 point win glory over us and thinking it will be a walk on the park for them...

Cmon dees!

I don't see a problem. They are only stating facts

Bit of a H_H post there!

Cmon dees!

They did this back in about '05, before social media, by using the Geelong Ablettiser to give the club absolutely heaps, saying we aren't good enough, we can't win at Simonds and we hadn't since 1988 etc etc. that was the day we rolled them by a point when Egan missed after the siren. Never enjoyed a win more than that.

We have a 1% chance of repeating the dose this time around by Geelong supporters are the biggest bunch of dickwads I've ever come across.

I find Geelong supporters to be pretty humble in my experiences. It's Hawthorn and Richmond supporters who really give me the shits...

I don't mind it really it's more players like Stevie j that I cant handle

Bit like James Kelly pretending he was asleep when they were singing the team song after beating us.

bet you didn't see a problem in that. I mean he was stating the fact right?

Coincidentally, "arrogence" rhymes with "no defence". We lost by 186, we have to wear it. I wish Melbourne could be arrogent. Arrogant too.

The bastards can probably spell arrogance too!

Really? Can't have met many Geelong supporters.

The majority have been spoilt by the last 7 years and have an unreasonable sense of entitlement and dismissive nature.

Actually I do know quite a few, I've probably just had a good run with them! I find that exact attitude that you've described is standard among Hawks supporters.

Yes, them too, can't argue with that.

I think my perception is a result of being surrounded by Cats fans unfortunately.

I look forward to a day that we gain the right to be arrogant too !!!

No established side should lose a match by 186 points, they can and deserve to write what they want.

Only way to answer this type of thing is by winning.

Pity our team is still learning the basics of how to play AFL and is not in the position to do anymore then win the occassional game here and there.

Play a great brand of football and have stayed near the top despite the draft. They have kept the AFL product afloat in an era of fake franchises, thuggish head-hunting teams and rolling mauls. Was it Mitch Duncan they got at 29 (when we got Scully at 1?). A team to be admired. IMO, a far better team than the essendons, WCE's, Hawthorns, Carltons of the world.

their arrogance is justified

I hope one day the MFC can be arrogant too

I tend to agree that Geelong supporters are not the most arrogant. A few of my family members are Geelong supporters and they never crow about 186. The reality is they just don't rate us to care because we are miles away from being a threat to them. And I cant remember the last time we beat them nor they.

I do think we are a slim chance for an upset. The cats unusually for them have thrown the towel in a couple of times this season when the opposition came to play. I hope we come to play today.

My experiences with Geelong supporters haven't seen too much arrogance. But there's always that core of pricks, and they tend to accumulate on facebook sites and on forums.

The trouble with arrogance is, it is usually loud.

It would be interesting (but too much trouble) to assemble a ladder of 'arrogance v actual achievement' for the various clubs.

Geelong would be a contrast with Brisbane, who even last year were still parading around and hanging s51t on Melbourne supporters.

Think they've earned the right given the pasting they're giving us, yet again, today.

yup

treating us like a training drill for about the 10th year running

I actually enjoy watching Geelong and Hawthorn play, because they attack and support each other. I hope the coaching staff show our players a Geelong or Hawthorn replay every week, to show them what is possible by having confidence in each other , gut running and delivering the ball.

I am jealous, but our decade of arrogance is coming "soon"!!!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
