I reckon blame the journo in this instant.

Probably dreamt up the story, went through the entire contact book looking for someone to support the claim, and couldn't find anyone more relevant or credible than Keka.

Perhaps Sammy has an insight into what could happen in the next 12 months.

It all depends on Liz lasting until then, so there is a real chance next years fixture might be the Kings Birthday game!

Didnt we kick 13 or 14 vs port?? It takes 2 teams to lock down defensively to make a low scoring game that cr@p to watch and the pies were implicit in it.

The only way second rates journos (aka Robbo) or media types trying to keep their jobs ( aka Keka) is to try to post something sensational or incendiary or at least controversial. Facts or logic have no part in their discussion.

After a mercurial career at North wasted mostly on driving fast cars, nailing blondes and partying he had not much going for him until he discovered selling mutton. Found his niche as an entertaining big mouth for hire.

He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Ewe'd be wise to ignore him.

boom tish...!!! lol

A bloke that lies on the lam until someone pokes him with a stick.

All ribbing aside, as ewe suggest its wise to give him a WIDE berth .

He's obviously a bone to pick and hes one to often chew the fat but he wont pull the wool over our eyes with his in-ewe-endo's.

As others suggest hes just trying it on , like a good woolly jumper but I think hes got stitched up with the wrong cable !!

well that's all for now. I'm Beelzebub...you know I make sense

Its worth noting that Slammin Sam started his VFL/AFL career for North Melbourne in 1968... Without having to dig very deep I note that in 1968 The Shinboners kicked 31 points against Richmond in round 6, 32 points against Collingwood in round 11 and in the round 15 game versus Melbourne, the Demons won by two points, 40 to 38. The very next week North managed 39 points against St Kilda. From these statistics I derive that the North Melbourne Football Club, along with Sam Kekovitch, his coaches and his team mates are responsible for the very low number of members that club has in 2014!

It's clear he has lambnesia.

Sam is a lost soul.

Still eats alone at restaurants.

So he is free to prey on attractive females.

Question, If Queenie Carks it before next year is the day still valid??

I mean you wouldn't really continue it as a public holiday if she wasn't around would you?

Which means King Charlie takes over. When's his Birthday??

The royalists, historians and constitutional "Guru's" of Demonland might like to shed some light on this question.?

The waitresses?

Any odd number in a group.

He doesn't waste much time.

Well it's not actually Liz's real birthday as I understand it. It is, however, a day of celebration for that event. I presume if Charlie took over the reins (reigns ha ha) it would become King's Birthday!!

So the Monday Holiday of that week becomes perpetual is that correct, Regardless of Death and any other scenario?

What if we became a Republic?

To be fair, he never said take the game off Melbourne. He said implement measures so that games like that never get played again- the style as opposed to the game itself.

All things aside, it's not a good article and well done to whoever researched re North low scoring games. Someone needs to tell KB, somehow he's got it in his head that every game prior to 2006 was an amazing shoot out with super key forwards..

There's crap and good games every year, the bloke is literally ruining this game.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
