Do you know what, I %100 agree.

Don't get me wrong we will miss Frawley as even though i reckon he is overrated as someone pointed out on DL he is a KPP with 100 plus games and 8 seasons under his belt and such players are not easily replaced. But a good team culture is a bunch of players invested in the same goal. As PJ has repeatedley said he knows our offer and he one can only assume he doesn't want to accept it. Go then.

As for Clark, unlike some i don't reckon he owes us anything any more than we owe a player like Clisby who we have sacked. If say we offered him only a rookie spot and a lowish salary (which is all we should offer him given his baggage) and he can get a much better deal elsewhere then i have no problems him taking the better deal. Who wouldn't take the better deal?

But - and it is a big but - he has handled this appallingly and the impression he has bailed on us is an impression entirely of his and his dimwit of manager's making. I'm of the view that mental health issues should be treated like any other disease. It shouldn't be shameful or hidden away but nor should it accord sufferers any different treatment or expectation than those suffering from other injuries or diseases. You can't have your cake and eat it too. To allow the impression (which he has by not being open and disabusing people of the notion) to develop that he he might go to another club to get a fresh start help him address his mental health issues is, in my view, disingenuous and does the cause of promoting more tolerant view to mental health issues no good at all. Why not say it is about money or greater chance of success - what's wrong with that? Plus the blind stupidity of thinking that he wouldn't cop it from fans and the media (assuming that's what he and his bonehead manager are thinking) and that such derision might not be deleterious to his mental health is mind boggling.

In any case, like Frawley, if he is not part of the solution he is part of the problem and i'd prefer he announce his intentions and get on his bike. See ya MC.

Sheehan and Wallace just said on tac cup that frawley compo could be around pick 10 because they think pick 3 could be to high. Also Sheehan is on the board who make the call. Not looking good

Absolute BS. They can't change the formula, ridiculous. It's band 1. Band 1 is fair. They freaking said compo isn't meant to reflect the value of the player and now they want to backtrack? F***ers.

I thought the rule said you had to get the pick immediately after your regular pick? (This is crucial. Adequate Compensation is the only thing that stops FA from being a completely outrageous rape of the weak clubs by the strong)

Do we know who is on the panel that makes the recommendation to the Commission and what the steps in the process are.

Mark Evans and Sheahan are two names mentioned so far?

Sheahan didn't say it. Wallace did. Sheehan tried to explain what could happen. He is on the panel. He said there is a really complex formula which is worked out and then put to the panel to see if it looks fair. Wallace said it and used buddy to say frawley wasn't worth more than him. He was talking from what he thinks is fair instead of looking at the figures.

thats what I thought but Sheehan said if there not comfortable with the formula they can recommend to the commission what the see as fair. Looks like there starting there campaign to screw us again.

See this is where people get it wrong in this case Wallace.. It has nothing to do with who's the better player out of franklin and Frawley, obviously franklins worth more than pick 19 or whatever it was and better player than Frawley but the impact of Frawley leaving us compared to buddy leaving hawthorn is much greater, hawks have made another grand final without buddy. I'd argue that us losing Frawley is a lot greater lose then hawthorn losing buddy. There's more too it the who's the better player...

The player movement rules should be crystal clear, unambiguous and transparent. How's the AFL stacking up so far?

They're idiots if they decided to water down our compensation because they decide Chip "isn't that good a player".

What they think of his skills as a player is bloody irrelevant. There's a formula, and that's related to the contract size and length. Nothing else is relevant. If another club wanted to take Dan Nicholson and put him on a 9 year, $10m contract, I'd expect the same compensation.

If they start cherry picking compensation based on their own subjective opinions of what a player is worth, the league is officially as corrupt as it gets.

Im pretty devo about Chip leaving. I was a backman in my Jouiner days so his one of my all time fav player.

If I see him around Perth I would still walk up to him with my demon jumper and get him to sign it, he played more then 100 games for us so his still a demon in my eyes.

So were you a junior joiner?

I do a lot of work with Jarred Rivers brother here in Adelaide. Just bumped into him after not seeing him for a while n although we already know this he confirmed its a done deal. Frawley to Geelong, he mentioned that Jarred has known since the middle of the year.

As others have said. Can't be a confirmed done deal until the ink is dry! But one thing certain is that he aint playing at our club next year!

Wonder if the appointment of Goodwin will affect the thinking of Frawley and Clark ?

With absolute certainty...no!

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
